wonderful!!
i originally only started watching this one because i was bored and needed to waste time. i didn't think anything would come of it but i was hoping to be entertained.i proceeded to become deeply obsessed with the show for the next 2 months.
love triangles, or squares or whatever, have never been something i've been drawn to in TV, so imagine my surprise when i couldn't stop thinking about this one.
many bare minimum things to be praised here, so i'll get that out of the way - i like that taem wasn't villainized like many women in BL. she was wonderful and loveable and i adore her.
discussions of safe sex, including STD vaccines. discussions of mental health issues and trauma in a normal way, that doesn't blame the affected character or makes them seem like a bad person. i like kao - i LOVE kao. being an ace lesbian myself, it's always difficult to see yourself represented in media. often times, queer relationships are inherently made sexual. and if you're asexual, you can't be interested in a relationship, right?
i loved that they showed kao's struggled with being a gay, asexual man - it made me feel seen. he's someone who has an intimate understanding of sex, but it doesn't interest him. many times, asexuality is attributed to inexperience or a lack of knowledge. kao doesn't have that, and he's still ace. i wish there was more screentime for him! i was really hoping for it. either way, i'm so happy he ended up finding someone who was right for him <3 love blue as well!!
the relationships characters had between each other was beautiful. kao and dee's friendship, dee and his grandma, yak and yei, all different kinds of platonic love that was so comforting to watch.
i actually quite liked when they focused on those relationships for a bit, i saw many people criticize the later episodes for being boring, but i thought it was a really nice way of exploring the characters and their bonds deeper.
now, of course, i do have to give some words for the main pairing as well. dee and yak are both very lovable characters to me. they both have some struggles, and they don't act perfect sometimes. but they communicate pretty well most of the time and their relationship is one i genuinely found myself very invested in and actively rooting for.
(also, the tropes were so good... that brief enemies to friends... the fake dating going into friends to lovers... UGHHH fake dating is the best trope ever. you're telling me they're pretending to be in love, but then someone actually develops feelings??)
they are very supportive of each other. great and inn are wonderful actors and portray them so well. if there's one thing i would criticize, it's that some (!!) of their kissing scenes felt a bit stiff lol
i think there's room for improvement there. otherwise, i just really loved the show.
honorable mention for oyei and cher, i personally didn't feel much for their relationship, but the episode of them getting engaged did get me teary-eyed. i <3 queer joy!
-some criticism: relationship starts off with them having intercourse while one character is under the influence. he seems to be (surprisingly) present and he remembers everything afterwards, but it still makes me feel a bit weird, because minutes earlier, he literally passed out. i don't drink, so i don't know what it's like to be drunk, but i don't think that's how it works?? lmao
sometimes you need to close your eyes at inconsistenties like this 😭
-ep 3, yak mentioned worrying about his public image for dating a man, and this worry is truly NEVER brought up again. not sure why it was said if they were just gonna abandon it like he didn't say it 🤣
-i don't really understand why they made ter and taem end up together. it was pointless. and to be honest, i think she deserves someone better.
there's more things but honestly my memory is not very good, so i'll leave it at this. anyways, i really liked this. it's my favorite BL released this year, and probably ranks high in my all time favs. i love rom-coms. we need more rom-coms of adults. they are truly WONDERFUL! and i hope we will see more of greatinn :)
i'm gonna miss this show so much! next week, i will sacrifice my soul to dee / yak. stay tuned for that

Wandee Goodday — The Gold Standard for Modern Romantic Comedy BL
Every once in a while, a BL comes along that reminds me why I fell in love with the genre in the first place. Wandee Goodday is one of those dramas. It has everything I look for: believable chemistry, mature characters, excellent humour, a relationship that grows naturally, and enough emotional depth to make the comedy meaningful instead of superficial. I loved it so much that I even imported the official DVD box set directly from Thailand. That's something I rarely do, and it says everything about how much this series meant to me.The story immediately stands out because it refuses to follow the typical romantic-comedy formula. Yes, it begins with a fake relationship and a friends-with-benefits arrangement, but it quickly becomes much more than that. Instead of relying on endless misunderstandings to delay the romance, the series focuses on two adults learning to understand themselves before they can truly understand each other. Behind all the comedy lies a surprisingly mature story about confidence, vulnerability, and the fear of not being enough for the person you love.
One of the biggest reasons it works is the sport itself.
Unlike many dramas where the profession or hobby exists only as decoration, Muay Thai is part of Yoryak's identity from beginning to end. His discipline, his emotional restraint, and even the way he approaches relationships are all shaped by the sport. That's why I often compare other combat-sport BLs to Wandee Goodday. It proves that a sport can become an essential storytelling tool instead of simply providing a few training montages between romantic scenes.
Then there are Great Sapol and Inn Sarin.
Honestly... what a pairing.
They're both incredibly handsome, but that's the least interesting thing about them. What truly impressed me was how naturally they complemented each other. Great has an effortless masculinity that never becomes intimidating, while Inn brings warmth, humour, and emotional sensitivity without ever making Wandee feel weak. They completely avoid the outdated "top versus bottom" stereotypes that still exist in parts of the BL industry. Instead, they simply feel like two adults falling in love.
Their chemistry is phenomenal.
It never feels manufactured for fan service. Whether they're arguing, teasing each other, flirting, or sharing intimate moments, everything flows naturally. There isn't a single scene where I questioned whether they believed in their own relationship. By the end of the series, they had become one of my favourite BL pairings ever, which is exactly why I'm disappointed GMMTV doesn't seem interested in continuing to develop them as a long-term ship. I genuinely think they're leaving something special behind.
The supporting cast deserves just as much praise. Drake Sattabut, Pod Suphakorn, Thor Thinnaphan and the rest of the ensemble all contribute to a world that feels alive beyond the central romance. Nobody exists purely to create unnecessary drama. Every supporting character helps the protagonists grow, making the story richer instead of simply longer.
Director Golf Sakon Wongsinwiset also deserves enormous credit. Balancing comedy, romance, sport, and emotional drama is much harder than it looks, yet the series constantly knows when to make you laugh and when to quietly break your heart. The pacing never feels rushed, the humour rarely becomes childish, and the emotional scenes are allowed to breathe instead of being overwhelmed by music or melodrama. Visually, the production is polished throughout, with energetic fight choreography and bright cinematography that perfectly matches the optimistic tone of the series.
Perhaps what I admire most is that Wandee Goodday understands that healthy relationships are actually interesting. So many romances depend on endless secrets, toxic behaviour, or artificial misunderstandings to keep the story moving. Here, the characters gradually learn to communicate, support each other, and grow together. That doesn't make the drama less exciting—it makes it far more rewarding because their love feels earned.
Final Thought
Wandee Goodday is everything I want a romantic-comedy BL to be. It's funny without becoming ridiculous, romantic without becoming cliché, and emotional without manipulating the audience. Great Sapol and Inn Sarin create one of the most believable and charismatic pairings I've seen in years, and I genuinely wish GMMTV had continued building on their partnership. This is one of those rare dramas I know I'll revisit again and again, because every rewatch reminds me just how enjoyable a well-written love story can be.

started off real steamy
Started off real steamy and then took a sweet romantic turn. I’m a total sucker for the fake-turned-real relationship trope so it was right up my alley. It was fun to watch their cute romance slowly blossom each week. The chemistry between the leads is undeniable; GreatInn nailed it. The second CP were also cute to watch, and the OST is super catchy.I loved this series from start to finish and really looked forward to a new episode each Saturday. I’m sad that it has ended, but would happily rewatch.

Very cute BL with a contrasting but endearing & funny CL
PLOT: Dee, an orthopedic doctor, has had a crush on his senior colleague, Dr. Ter, for a long time. One night, he confesses his feelings, is rejected, and gets drunk. He's picked up, completely drunk, by Yoryak (a boxer he treated), and they end up having a one-night stand. Dee and Yoryak become FwB, then a fake couple (although Yoryak has a crush on a female student), to help Dee win a coveted scholarship for studying abroad, a scholarship also coveted by Dr. Ter. But little by little, Dee and Yoryak's feelings become confused.+++ Great and Inn Sarin make an endearing, moving, and respectful couple with superb chemistry ლ(╹◡╹ლ) I'd love to see them together again soon.
+++ The other actors are talented and bring well-developed characters to life.
+++ The story is coherent and realistic (or almost - a romantic speech at a boxing championship? A "boyfriend" declaration at a professional awards ceremony?). The series advocates👏 👏 for same-sex marriage, trans rights, asexuality, etc. 👏👏
+++ The direction is effective (good boxing scenes), well-paced, and alternates between emotional moments and fun ones.
+++ The soundtracks aren't too intrusive, and I really like the song sung by Great (who has a very pretty voice).
### Minor sound issues in some scenes.
### A few clichés (love rivals).
### P'Ter's character is detestable (manipulative, a liar, etc.). Alas for the actor! The rival boxers' characters are rather caricatural.
=> A feel-good and easy-to-watch series, with an adorable CL Great-Inn Sarin.

Such a rollercoaster of emotions. Not in a good way.
Started off strong, got worse, had some good moments again, and ended in a shitshow. These actors are so cute, the idea behind the story is good, and it really had its moments, but in it's entirety it's just not that good. Disappointed. Really hoped for something better. Was this review helpful to you?
Just A Joy
The perfect romcom! I smiled through every episode. Loved Great\Inn together and hope we get this pairing again. Though friends with benefits has been done in BL before, the way Wandee and Yak enjoyed each other’s company so much that pure joy turned to love felt unique and different. Both main characters are green flags with great chemistry and entertaining leads with pretty good comedic timing.
Also I kept singing along to the theme song. “BABY!” Will be in my head forever.

Just what I needed
This series was just what I needed. I loved every minute. The actors were all adorable and talented. I’m a new Inn fan now!I thought the comedy was perfect. No cringe and goofiness, just laughs. They all went through several emotional struggles which added depth and character to each of them.
Loved how everything turned out and how they all supported each other. Wish real life was more like this.
Side note: I just finished Beauty Newbie before this and Great was completely different in that. Such a good actor.

Hot boxer and sexy doctor? OH YES!
I love how positive the vibe of this show is- been a while I watch BL like this! While I absolutely love NCs, I appreciate how this show is able to carry its weight without having to sell NC only.
This is one of the rare FWB show that is actually non-toxic but healthy! I love how Yoryak and Wandee supports each other dreams, how they care and understand one another and just so many of the lovey doves moments. I melt!
Highlight for me is actually Cher!!! I'm a big fan of OyeCher- I want them with their own series! I love how their love story really feels DEEP and REAL= like it's very realistic instead of only fluffy. I really love the proposal scene. It is the simplest yet sweetest one I've watched. It totally touches my heart and makes me cry. I mean, there isn't anything near fancy yet its beautiful and sincere.
I also love how this carries positive message such as HPV vaccination, normalising mental health care and the implicit meaning of "My Good Day, MY Choice"! They even educate on asexual a little, really well done at GMMTV is constantly expanding its inclusivity!
Very well done on ending where there's no loose end and everyone has their happy ending, including Dr. Ter and Thaem! Yay!
This is a funny, meaningful story, inspiring message, and great acting too- especially Great who plays Yoryak!

Lovely actors, come get some laughs, some true love and enjoy a really cheerful series
A simple plot to start with, a romcom, a romantic comedy to get you laugh a lot, but at the times goes on the characters are getting deeper emotionally, psychological, and touching. The amazing, really amazing chemistry between the main actors are worth watching, to star a couple as "friends with benefits" to something more in a very realistic and touching story.
Every chapter has their own plot, an event to ocurr and some words to be said. Getting deeper to talk about family traumas, HPV vaccine, health care, sports, feelings, emphaty and love, lots of charming, hot and cute scenes.
Worth it every minute! Thanks for making a series so rounded and complete in so many additional topics besides the main plot.
Maybe it lacked more deep on details about boxing, or the second couple has poor chemistry, but the lights, colors, scenarios and production of the series is very well done.

Boring characters with a mid plot
It was okay, just not my favorite story or couple I've seen. None of the characters really stood out to me, and they were all just kind of one dimensional and boring. Even the chemistry between the leads was just okay to me, not bad not great. It did have some decent spice. Just overall pretty mid.Was this review helpful to you?
What's not to love... ?
You got a good story going on, that's always a plus in my book. Let's not forget the hotness you get from just looking at them then put in great chemistry and you got it going on. There is also great music throughout the series, get to laugh why you watch, who doesn't love to laugh? Oh you also get some serious moments that some people go through in life, but it's not played out like in some series/movies.As a plus the other couple (his brothers relationship) are a good fit. They were so cute together. Even when they were fighting, though that could be because Cher was just to cute. They were kind of funny in there fights. 😁
Gotta love the witty retorts you get to hear from all of them at times as well, one of the reasons you get to laugh in this series.
All in all if you want to watch something fun yet serious at times, that will give you a good laugh throughout the series, with great chemistry and hotness this would be a great one to watch. I would re-watch this one again and again. and I don't say that often. 💖

SEXY and FUNNY
The first and most important thing was the choice of the main characters. Great Sapol (Yak) and Inn Sarin (Dee), each of them is charming, with different personalities, but they complement each other. Not to mention that they are both beautiful and very cute. The second success lies in the script and direction of the series, in taking unrealistic situations and transforming them into something that is believable, visceral, sentimental in the right measure, and that motivates the viewer to cheer. The characters here are not just romantic objects, they have something more inside them. The supporting cast also shines and moves in this story. I always think that the secret of a good romance, a romance that leaves us intoxicated, rooting for the main couple, lies in this: in giving a lot of flavor to something that is already familiar, in meeting our expectations that these two people understand each other in ways that we are not expecting. I started the series skeptical, but I ended up converted! Best romantic comedy of the year !! Sexy and very funny. Was this review helpful to you?
