no matter how many times we joke about saint shin being in love and plz kiss each other we cannot deny the chemistry that sky nani bought to the show , it was cherry on top the music is perfect the storyline flows perfectly, evryone Got there redemption
tears were shed , bonds were made gmmtv gave us perfect example of how good teachers will always play important role in life đ , kudos to every actor

SKYNANI'S CHEMISTRY PROVES THEIR HIGH CAPACITY AS ACTORS
SKYNANI IS OBVIOUSLY THE MAIN REASON WHY I LIKE THIS SERIES SO MUCH. Their chemistry is insanely good. That is what adds quality to this show. But not only that, the conflicts, the cast, cinematography.AND HERE ARE MORE DETAILS:
SKYNANIâS VISUALS
Theyâre both dead gorgeous. Naniâs cute and handsome at the same time, his eyes are absolutely stunning. He has this elegant and mysterious vibe, while Skyâs handsome and cool, but also well-built, and has this positive aura about himself. The fact that they resemble a cat and a dog makes it even better. They seem to be completing each other. And this, however, contributes to me thinking that they are a perfect match and are ideal for having the roles of Saint and Shin.
SKYNANIâS ACTING/CHEMISTRY
Not only are their visuals extremely breath-taking, but also their acting skills. Their chemistry is off the charts! The way they look at each other is so beautiful. The way they convey their feelings through their eyes is simply brilliant. In their âlove-hateâ relationship shown in the couple of first episodes, you can clearly see how much Shinâs suffering when the topic of the past SaintShinâ friendship is raised. And that emotion is excellently reflected in Nani's eyes. Itâs the same while showing anger. And it's not only his eyes. It's also his sighs and overall body language that depicts him being uncomfortable, deeply wounded or simply in pain. His contemptuous smirks were great too. But when Nani smiles, oh my, he shines so brightly. Similarly, Skyâs puppy-face-like expressions seem more than suitable for portraying Saintâs feelings of deep regret for what he did to Shin in the past. It's also likewise, when heâs tearing up for the mentioned reasons. But him acting angry is something else.
Back to the topic of chemistry, I must say, every time they look at each other, it gives me butterflies. You can feel that tension between them. And although it's labeled as a bromance, the 'more than friends' feels accurate too. That's how good their chemistry is. I mean, If they did not need to kiss, and the chemistry is still chemistrying hard, then that only proves the capacity of the actors. Everyone can tell that there's love between SaintShin. What a beautiful bond!
PLOT
Firstly, I need to say that I havenât watched the original âSchool 2013â that this series is based on, so I have no comparison whatsoever. But it doesn't change the fact that I truly adore âHigh School Frenemyâ. The story unfolds gradually and slowly. I really enjoy that. The whole SaintShin' situation touches the heart. Shinâs frustration and Saint's determination is totally understandable. Both of them have been deeply hurt. You get to know their own perspectives of their conflict. Their bond is immensely beautiful. You get to witness some sweet moments too. And there is also this Jeng and Ken issue that needs to be resolved. Ken's story is truly distressing. People in such difficult situations often think that there is no way out, and it's totally understandable. During the series, several times appears the theme of trying to help someone who doesn't want to accept your help. I know it can be very exasperating for both sides. Sometimes it is really problematic to reach a mutual understanding. The same goes for the motive of overcontrolling parents that also occurs in the show. Both parents and kids can be gunuinely hurt, when this type of matter arrives.The whole series is packed with all kinds of feelings. I'm telling you, just watch it already!
PRODUCTION
In most Thai series the cinematography is on point and here it wasn't otherwise. However, when it comes to fighting scenes, some of the camera angles weren't the best choice. It could be improved. But those are literally the tiniest flaws that could be found. They're nothing compared to the overall series. The scenography was good. All the school uniforms, classrooms and other shooting locations were rather pleasing to the eye. As for the music, in some cases it was okay, in some it could be better, but it could be worse also. Nevertheless I really enjoyed the intro. It suits the character of the series well. And the SkyNani' âPromiseâ song is really cute.
CONCLUSION
I'm really grateful for this series and obviously for pairing SkyNani together. I love their dynamic so much. Nice plot, great actors, everyone did a great job and what are you doing, still reading this review, go watch the series right now, and if you already did, you can always rewatch it! Can't wait for upcoming SkyNani projects! đđ

Which country actually allows this kind of violence in school? It was okay to beat teachers, fighting like thugs until it wasn't Shin. But when it came to Shin they suddenly became concern about students not having good surroundings.I was like Excuse me just say you have problems with Shin. Legacy of Thep burapha and Udon pithak continued but that wasn't concerning enough to School committee. Fake fighting scenes were an eyesore . When Saint was beating Shin suddenly bl0od disappeared when Shin broke his leg and started screaming. If anyone ignores cliche flaws the story is definitely good and their friendship development is eye catching specially Ken's friendship with others. The main thing is if I judge it from straight perspective no way I can forgive the person who shattered my lifelong dream who was once my best friend more like a soulmate. But yeah if Shin can do it's his life and decisions. One of the highlights for me was how the show dealt with themes of loyalty, personal growth, and forgiveness.The twins had the quickest development ever so does Ken.
đMain plot:
Main plot for me was SaintShin ,chadjen,chingching,ken that is âžď¸/10 . Dramatic intense gaze between Saint & Shin wasn't enough convincing to be mere best friends in the first place. How Shin treats Saint compared to his other friends is undeniable. The looks they saves for Each Other is like
" Gonna spend my whole energy looking at you, I don't care about you but I'll do everything a couple do just like no one is there except you, you're the last thing in the world for me , I'm kissing you definitely but no one will notice except chadjen"
The tenderness in their gaze definitely worth to compare with Chinese censored bls that is called bromance. peak chemistry these two share is amazing beyond words! Their mesmerising charm was like peeling an onion which invokes such an emotional rollercoaster after every layer. Just like lovers turning into raging enemies without hatred but angst. Flashbacks of their teenage lovely days after every two episodes was heart touching in the main time burning flames intensifying the urge to touch vulnerability. Without being couple they're already more of a couple than many of the official pairings. Every single SaintShin moment was screaming unresolved sexual tensions that's enough to make you yearn and yell at the screen "JUST KISS ALREADY". Saints' casual conversation with shin
"Giving up most important things, I love you, again I love you, I want you back like old days, I'm not giving up on you, you'll end up with me , I'll do everything whatever you say ,give me s hug,are we dating or just friends, you're everything to me, couple pictures,etc" which ended with both of their confessions.
Kudos to Sky and Nani to convey every part perfectly or more than perfection. Y'all already noticed just how much Nani improved since his past works . It's really deserves appreciates and Sky as marvellous as always . And Mark the phenomenal actor as chadjen proved again how great he is. Except teachers and school committee everyone did the best of them. Kudos to everyoneđđť. Special Kudos to sweet little girl who acted as chingching definitely my most fav character with chadjen. This is SkyNani's first work together and they won our hearts to the extreme level that everyone around them admits.
This show proved that it's possible to create an engaging BL with a strong script, solid acting , perfect screen writing with genuine levitating chemistry between two boys .
Trending on twitter every week is unusual for Lakorns mainly without being old ship,old couple and limited marketing is really something. To sum up they used queerbaiting but I don't mind at all instead I liked more & more. Definitely a great BL without being BL . They made history being the first non bl couple to receive such massive support through their natural chemistry .
I'm sorry if there's any mistake or feels like less.. I'm overwhelmed and extremely happy that reviewing this one feels like touching a vulnerable soft thing that shouldn't be touched đĽ˛. . Damn 8 week of rollercoaster feelings that made my facial structures different from genuine blushing and giggling đ¤.

This is a BL if it was made in mainland China
Like everyone else said, it couldnât be gayer. But I want to give props to SkyNani for such incredible acting. Although this is a "bromance," they had more chemistry than half the couples in the BL industry. They portrayed a love so deep and beautiful that I was genuinely moved.For those like me who love BL, get ready to yell, "Just kiss already!" at least a hundred times.
The secondary characters were also fantastic, especially Chatjen, who was an amazing and beautifully crafted representation of autism. He simultaneously served as a bridge between Shin and Saint while also being their unofficial son and the head of their shipper.
All in all, itâs great. Iâm eagerly waiting for the final episode!

THE MOST BEAUTIFUL LOVE STORY â¤ď¸
it's a romance! what saintshin have can't be bounded by the labels. they're more than friends, more than lovers, more than soulmates. they're one and the same! two bodies one soul â¤ď¸i'm so glad i can confidently say that i have been one of the og fans who has been watching since the trailer drop. i had expectations for sure but this show has exceeded all of them and come out as THE BEST SERIES IN 2024.
brilliant acting by the cast. especially skynani (saintshin) who expressed the feeling of sadness, anger, love and longing in the most beautiful way possible. their eyes held so much emotions and the way they delivered the lines seeped through my bones!! what a blessing that these two met đ
excellent bgm choice! the songs are so good that i've been listening to them all day, every day! the ost "promise" sung by sky & nani is THE BEST ost of the year!!
the plot is about two people who are desparately in love w each other and are ready to die for each other even though their love story is not easy. they've been through a lot, both together and apart, both because of the world and because of each other, but in the end, they're together and nothing else is stronger than their love for each other!!
this show can mess you up in the best way possible! the relationship between saintshin, the friendship between every other characters and every other dynamic in this show is so enticing, one can get lost! đ enough said, i am never getting over this series. i'm never getting over saintshin & skynani đ

Just Wow, Amazing Acting
I thought I would watch one episode and skip to last one and skim it. Was I wrong.It has a real powerful story, it tackled the harder parts of life for kids and teachers who actually care.
Saint (Sky) and Shin (Nani) were amazing, there acting was above anything I have watched before and the natural love for each other (wasn't a love story) they showed, was perfect and there was a wedding in their future with kids đđŤŁđ¤đ (again not a love story just brilliant acting and scripted).
The friendships made along the way were beautiful.
A massive shout out to Mark who played Chatjen just amazing and deserves an award, never went out of character (great to portray Autism who is high functioning)
Every single actor/actress in this series did a great job, they all deserve an award, even little Chingching was perfect and not annoying at all.
You could nit pick the shit out of this series as nothing is perfect, but the scripted, story and acting was above anything I have ever watched before.
I loved this and would rewatch. You also cry when they hug Ken, Chatjen emotional scene and couple other scenes.. The very end was super cute, Oh Saint and Shin so loved each other đ. Though would of been nice to see everyone else at the end.

HOW CAN I BE HOMOPHOBIC, THIS SHOW IS GAY
I read so many reviews that said what I wanted to say but couldn't find the right words...but let me just say this... HIGH SCHOOL FRENEMY... Is a Chinese BL (IYKYK)...Shin and Saint ain't fooling no1... Like I saw bromance and was like, "ok".. Because I expected a dark show.. Fighting, joining forces for world peace and all tht... BUT.. What I didn't expect is for GMMTV to slap on Bromance on a WHOLE ASS BL... THIS SHOW HAS MORE COLORS THAN A RAINBOW.. IT'S GAYER THAN AN ACTUAL BL... I SPENT MOST OF THE SHOW SCREMAING, "KISS!!" OR "Y'ALL ARE SO MARRIED".. In the scene where they are hiding from the mom I was like, "If this is how you act coming out as" besties" how will u act when its time to come as a couple and announce your marriage to her... HOW WILL SHE REACT?? LOL.. These boys proved that NC scenes does not make a BL.. Wht makes a BL is the chemistry, the subtle and obvious secret glances... and staring contests... The words they say, like they said "I love You" more than a normal couple... Well Saint did... The tension is on a different level... GMMTV tried to make a bromance but they couldn't... They tried, but all they did was not add NC scenes.. Lol...
Other than the married couple... I really enjoyed this show it was sooooo good... I loved how they added the pain students go through, how some people are not meant to be parents and how important teachers are not only for classes but for guidance... Not every1 has parents tht listen them r understand them and when we come to school it's like an escape... Teachers are like parents too... School can be one child's hell and another child's heaven...
The actors are AWESOME... I felt every pain and wanted to wipe every tear... They presented this sooooo well... Mark representation of autism was fantastic... It was like tht was him.. It didn't seem mocking... At 1st I just thought he was shy and awkward but I found out from reviews it was autism and it made sense... The actors were so gud... That I actually hate Jeng... I hate him.. Lol.. AJ and JJ back with their chaotic selves.. Love them...
Chadjen is a wonderful character... I love how he calls every1 when there is an issue... I love how pure he is... He was like, "my house is the normal size like every1's.."y don't u have a pool "... He wasn't bragging... He genuinely thought wht he had was the norm for every1... Hes my fave character...
I look 4ward to another show from Shin and Saint... Not with a "bromance" tag though... BL... :)))))) 1000000%

They don't know that they're gay?
You cannot convince me that there was no romantic tension in this show. Saint and Shin were pining for each other, the lingering gazes, the "friendly" words that they exchanged with each other. The context that some of these could fall under would be romance.Not only was the chemistry between Saint and Shin amazing, the HSF cast just made it so much better. I loved the dynamic in Class 2, the tension between Udon Phithak campus and Thep Burapha campus was crazy but I later learnt that it was a dramatized version of what really occurs in Thai schools, which I applaud them for doing.
I loved how the themes were realistic, giving us friendship, family, feelings, emotions, loss, teenage moods, school life, substance abuse, death, being in love (ahem Saint) and learning to let people back in your life. I really enjoyed the 16 episodes and I have re-watched the show 3 times already.

AWESOME CHEMISTRY!!(My First review)
This bl- bromance is one of the best I've seen so far. Its for real going to my top bl-, top series watched out of all the series I've had watched. Sky and Nani did great for the acting, like actually, no joke. High School Frenemy gave me different perspective on how friendships work. It gave me a different meaning of a "friend". I loved it so much!!. Honestly speaking, This series gave me back the emotional feelings i had with The Untamed(for me) witch only means that the series is awesome.Story; The story seems a little basic at first but then as it progressed it because more intriguing. I love how they don't only focus on the main leads, but they also focus on other characters in the story. Every character in this story takes an important role to the story. I also love how they give the other character a background story which adds to the overall series story. This series opened my eyes on how i preserve friendship. I never knew i could have a different perspective of "friends". Shin and Saint make you really think that they are boyfrie- . Awesome story overall!!!
Acting; The acting in this series is top tier, especially between Sky(Saint) and Nani(Skin). I never knew i could i would see this kind of chemistry, its refreshing to see. Mark did an awesome job with his character. He nailed it, it just comes to show that Mark is an awesome actor. All of the cast did a great job in their acting for this series! :D. Loved it so much!. Like I'm not even kidding, they did AMAZING. I could literally see the emotions through Sky and Nani's eyes every time they look at each other, that's how good their chemistry is.
Music: For the choice of music, in my opinion it was great. Every music shown in every scene fits the overall mood of the scene. In some parts of the series i didn't only focus on watching, I also focused on the music(my brain just randomly focuses on the music for some reason) for that specific scene and it amazes me how it fits, then I go back watching. I love the OST "Promise me"!!!
Rewatch value: I would watch it again if i wanted to, anytime i could. Its just that I'm focused on watching recent BL's instead of past (Oh, i forgot this isn't a BL). i think in the future I'll for sure watch it again to remember all the memories i had watching this.
Other: I LOVE IT SO MUCH! Sky is now one of my fav gmmtv actors and Nani for sure!!! Saint and shin made me confused between Friendship and a Relationship(Romantic). THE CHEMESTRY BWETWEEN SKYNANI IS EVERYTHING AND THEY DELIVERED IT SO WELL. My reaction to Saint to Shin at the ending episodes were like "JUST DATE ALREADY" Yeah. Freaking awesome series!!. My biggest plot twist in 2024 is this series, i never knew i will be so into it đ

THE BEST NON-BL BUT ACTUALLY A BL DRAMA OF 2024
BEST COUPLE OF THE YEAR 2024 and ahead is SKYNANI...one of the best acting ever in both of their career. They did their best and their chemistry was out of the world. I'm looking forward to their upcoming drama in 2025 called WU. I manifest it to be a BL series as this series was bromance, but it still broke our low expectations for a bromance and satisfied us to the peak.TBH it was a ROMANCE drama of two boys without a kiss. I loved it. As a pro-BL watcher, I can tell that some of the BL actors do not have any chemistry that these two bromance couples have. Their chemistry is at its peak. Must match drama.IMINA SKYNANI

SKYNANI CHEMISTRY IS INSANE!
What do you mean itâs not bl after all those cheesy and romantic than other romance bl series lines from Saint and Shin? They even said âI love yousâ with each other. And Saint asking âare we just friends or are we datingâ to Shin, bro I was thinking the same. Saint definitely owned the song âIâd let the world burn for youâ because he was crazy enough to sacrifice himself just for Shinâs sake. And when they went to fight Jeng together, that scene screams âif the world was ending Iâd wanna be next to youâ because they were both willing to die for each other. And them saying each other is the most important person to them and the only one they care about, I was like... bro what about your families? 5555 And Saint have said more sweet words to Shin that my partner did to me, and youâre telling me that theyâre just FRIENDS?!Anyway, I love this show so much. And skynani fandom is growing waving with their popularity. I didn't expect that they would get their next show so soon but who am I to complain? When I can spent all my life just watching their show? Skynani definitely became my favorite pair after watching this series. They are not even an official love team yet, nor hadnât even acted in a bl concept, and yet their chemistry is INSANE! Canât wait for Wu! And while waiting, I would definitely rewatch HSF a hundred times!

I didnât want this to end
At first, the first 4 episodes were tiring for me to watch as I donât really do well with extreme violence like that but Iâm so glad I stuck with it.This show further proves that you donât need intimate scenes to establish a bond between lovers. Yes I call them lovers cos normal friendship cannot be like this. But if yours is like this, then kudos to you and your friend. hehe..
I love how they were able to break through. Not just the main leads, but the other characters too did well. They really defined what true friendship meant. The teachers were awesome as well. Really portrayed how amazing some teachers are irl.
The story is fantastic. They really did justice to the original version - School 2013. Love the OST and was really proud of SkyNani for singing the OST to the drama. Their vocals are truly wonderful.
Would highly recommend this drama. Itâs really a masterpiece
