Dr. Pierra bravely treated venereal disease patients, disguising herself as a madam to help treat seriously ill sex workers in her brothel called "The Blue House," earning her the title of "Mother Mary of Sex Workers." Her struggle to help the sick and the underprivileged in society, regardless of class or caste, amidst the limitations of her time, involved overcoming numerous obstacles.
