Well deserve
Many are saying the winner is not a potential winner & everything but as a viewer I didn't find it like that. This show is call devil's plan, not angel's plan so the participants have to trick other's or have to be cold to other's so that they will not get played by others. I did seen all the eps by now & I like how some participants backstabb others & how some some are playing for their own & I think all of them played only for their own benefit.& Also yeah living areas team had alliance I get it but who didn't had an alliance? Everyone had an alliance, it's just that they made mistake & their frnds get eliminated & others went to death match. If they didn't had made mistake & had won the main match then we could have seen a big alliance rather than living areas team. It's their mistake & that's why they had gone through it & I don't think it's a fault of living areas team as they proved their intelligent, smartness in the main game & survive. So hating on living areas team is useless as it would have been same to the other side if they had won the main matches. I think all top 5 contestants deserve to be the top 5 & the final 2 contestants also deserve to be in the final.
For the winner, people doesn't like his cold behavior but for me I like how he was so clear about everything from start to the end, who is his people & who is he playing for. He won as he was smart, intelligent & as had a clear goal from the start to the end that he has to win.
At the end it's just a game & now they are all in good terms so I hope haters stop hating on any contestants & also stop cursing them as they are also a human being. I maynot like some contestants but it's just a game so my dislike to some contestants also end in the game. I hope people in the future watch this show & judge on their own, not by review. Until next season🫶

Undeserving winner and mindless sheep
season 1 was great, but the manipulation by the winner pissed me off so much after that mancala alliance flip flop catastrophe that I had to drop the series. I knew who was going to win at that point without even finishing. The internet later told me I was right. had I known it would go like this, I would have stopped watching sooner.need to do a much better job of casting next time. way too many mindless emotional followers where this honestly felt like I was watching a form of bullying.

Incredible!
I just want to summarize this. Of course, it's Devil's Plan! Full of wits, with betrayals and emotions. I am enjoying this season compared to the season 1. Hyungyu and Sohee did well, putting them together in alliance are unbeatable! 👏👏 👏 It's just right that they're in the finals. I am so impressed with their games. But saying that someone's the true villain i think was not fair, because they all did "clever" things inside..and blaming someone to clear conscience is not right? It seems to be that they couldnt accept that they're outwitted by younger player/s, like Hyungyu. He's coming strong, calm, determine, and confident..so they're seeing him as a villain. But as a viewer, I did see that they only see Hyungyu but did not see themselves. Also, the prison group are more conniving. For sure, i will rewatch this. Was this review helpful to you?

players were really determined to win
i must be the only one who enjoyed this season....First of all, in this season the main thing i noticed was the skill level among the players was quite evenly distributed. Every player was ambitious to win and they all had their moments to shine. Like in every team game there were leaders trying to control but it didnt feel like everyone was just following them cause sometimes even within the team they betrayed each other. So this was something I liked.I dont really get the "unfair" argument. the piece battle only came towards the end. Before that all the main matches were just based on strategy (like who solves it the fastest). I would say the only issue was because the pieces was the only way to move up to the dorms it was hard for prison ppl to make a complete change unless they become first.
but thats just how the game was set up, in the end the strategies to win and stuff was still quite good. Much better than season 1 where alot of players didnt really have much motivation. Cause in this season even the prison players were so good the prison matches were equally interesting to watch.
the hate for hyungyu is so unnecessary, like this is a survival game not a show to make friends lol... he used all his opportunities to his advantage. There were ppl who wanted to make him win tbh this portion is something i didnt expect them to outright say it...but i guess that is their decision
The prison team like finally decided to colab with dorm members and when it was going smoothly they are the ones who decided to betray them so in the perspective of dorm members their objectives just didnt align anymore
The prison team had really strong members Harin, Justin, Eunyu. with Justin he was really strong at individual matches which caused him to fail during main match. Eunyu and Harin are really good they should have tried to make the dorm team an ally earlier...
7High...idk to me he felt really egoistic. Never share plan with someone then when they dont do what he wanted suddenly say he got betrayed. Then throw the entire burden of eliminating someone onto someone else keeping his hands clean. Kept telling the team he was ready to be eliminated but last min suddenly pulled out to survive...like?
I watched all 12 episodes together and for me I enjoyed watching the gameplay by Hyungyu and Eunyu. I was amazed at how Eunyu was so calm and her ideas were really good. With Hyungyu initially i thought he would just play as a smart solver at the side but he really took control in the shadows and used every opportunity for his benefit. He was really well suited for "Devils Plan". One more player was Justin, he was also a strong player but tbh he was isolated in the prison (esp when they stole his idea) I feel like he could have done much better if the arrangement was different.
overall I liked it :)

Favored the early winners too much
Let me just say that I rated this an 8.0 because I just loved the games they played, well, most of them anyway. Also, a lot of the players were very interesting and entertaining to watch. I was not rooting for Eunyu from the start (I was on Team Justin when I found out he was in The Umbrella Academy, LOL) but watching her go thru all of the prison games was very impressive and found myself rooting for her to win it all.Unfortunately, I don't think the writers/rule makers thought things through. It seemed to me that the winners of the first game ended up with a much higher chance of staying in the living quarters and reaching the finals. The main games heavily favored those with more pieces so this made it almost impossible for those in prison to improve their situation. Also, except for the hidden game, there was very little to no chance for those in prison to earn pieces. I mean, maybe they could have given them pieces after surviving their death matches? This eventually made the show quite predictable and, if I wasn't such a fan of the games, I would have dropped this somewhere around episode 4 or 5. It was also very disheartening to watch those with just a few pieces fight to win only to realize later that they don't have enough pieces to do so.
Hopefully, they improve their setup in the next season because I will still be here to watch it.

Perfect display of society
Although I really didn’t like the extreme alliances between the smart-asses and the prison gang, I kinda felt like this was an almost perfect portrayal of an elitist society. The people who are rich and smart will always be at the top, while the ones who were a bit less fortunate as in they were too naive or not smart enough, they will be at a disadvantage… I think the divide between team HyunGyu and Team Eunyoung was too extreme!!! And from the moment that Hyungyu won the special stage at home we all knew he was gonna be the winner… Last season Seokjin was in a small alliance with only two people so he was actually in the underdog team but winning the hidden stage has given him an advantage even tho he lost all his alliance members. But in this season, HyunGyu was already in the big alliance plus he was smart plus he was always in the living room. HyunJoon was also in the hidden stage of the prison and he did make it far, but because he was in prison for too long he never got accepted into the living room crew. It’s like the poor boy who gets the scholarship and studies and becomes a successful person but the elite never recognizes or accepts him because he is from a poor background… Thats how the alliances in this season felt… I am not sure whether it was on purpose or not but I just thought it was very demotivating… The reality of it was too strong…To he honest, I hope for season 3 they will have more games that will force them to play either alone or in new alliances/groups.
Also the fact that there was no group game at the end anymore and that there were about half of the contestants in the prison now made the alliances stronger too. The prison matches were fun too but I prefered the way it was in season 1 and I hope they will bring back the group matches.
Oh yeah, I think Sohee was the smartest in this season but I was so mad how she sacrificed herself, whether on purpose or intuitively because she is a woman and maybe in her life she was always degraded for being such a smart woman and made to conform to male supremacy, I am not sure what was going on with her but I got SO mad!!! And at the beginning I didn’t like 7high but the fact that he noticed Sohee would sacrifice herself for Hyungyu and spoke to her about it changed my whole perspective about him.
Yeah compared to season 1 this season 2 was kind of disappointing … Also can the next idol being featured on here be RM from BTS please? He has a very high IQ so I am sure he would be better at this than any of the other idols we had so far

This series is a masterpiece
Okay not gonna lie, season 2 was not as enjoyable as the 1st one for me but this is only because my favourite players lost quite early in the game. Tinno, Ha-rin, Kyuhyun and So-hui were the best for me, especially Tinno and Ha-rin. However i can't hide the fact that Hyun-gyu was probably the smartest or the most cunning of them all. Both finalists deserved to be there. Also even tho i wasn't supporting her, Eun-yu showed remarkable tenacity as the queen of prison. And it's also a shame that Se-dol got eliminated so quickly. I think he would be a strong contender for the final.I think the production made a wonderful job expanding and improving the system of how the game works, from prison games to hidden stages, everything. Also the games themselves were really interesting once again. I wonder 2 seasons now who manages to invent these complex games. Unless they already exist and I'm not aware of them. It would be awesome if there were merch board games from the shows available to purchase! I would love to play a lot of them.
I hope this show keeps going. This is my favourite gaming reality show worldwide and it's mot even close. I can't wait for season 3,4,5 and so on 😁

I couldn't care less about the final
Every time Joonyoung PD made a new variety show, there's a big probability that I will like it (I really love The Great Escape in fact). The first season of Devil's Plan is good, so that's why I give this one a watch. Out of 12 episode, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗲𝗽𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗱𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵. 𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗯𝗮𝗱, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗜 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗶𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗲𝗻𝗱. Consequentially, when it comes to the finale, I couldn't care less about the last two players. As a character, Hyun-gyu is really a strong opponent. Manipulative and nonchalant. He asked and he shall receive. He asked Sohee and Kyuhyun to side with him, and they did. He wanted to make it to the final with Sohee by keeping her #2, she just did without questioning why she should be kept in check by being #2. He just... have his ways. You can see this especially in the Halloween Monster game.
Sohee, on the other hand... oh she pissed me off but not as bad as Hyun-gyu. Simply because she can't ever stand her ground and so emotionally affected.
But that doesn't mean it's a good TV.
Sorry, I have to put out my hot take. It just so boring that we knew right away who the winner will be. Then again, it's a reality TV game show. So, he earned it.
Gameplay wise, comparing to the first season, I don't like how the prison thing is being set up. In S1, you only have 2 people in prison and yeah true that it didn't really affect things in the main game about the alliance and whatnot, but somebody that just out of prison could make a secret alliance in the main living room as they told them about the secret in the prison room.
Here in S2, it's so clear that the gameplay is all about underdogs vs topdogs. Ha... what a waste. As you can see, the change in underdogs vs topdogs dynamics only just begin halfway through the show and honestly, it's not a big change either that will give a good twist like riot or dramatic betrayal or whatever.
If there's ever S3, I hope it starts with alliance-based games, then a mix of team & solo games in the middle, and finishes strong with solo battles.

i don't liked it....but....
i loved the first one....but couldn't stand the habit of the Winner at all. He seemed so Psycho and manipulative the whole time, terrible. All this betrayal in this season was too much for me.
And that some contestants had to live for 6 days in prison and had to play until midnight, STANDING for hours, a second time, to get kicked out, a second time? and just only there? No-Go to me!
if you come up with a third one:
please do better and don't let them stay the whole time in prison so it's from the start, just like they feared, a "Prison against Living-area" thing.
I love the idea, concept and games. Hopefully it will change to somethingdifferent....... 🙏🏻🍀

Fun Start, Flat Finish
If you’re into shows that make you think and mess with your brain a little, The Devil’s Plan: Death Room is definitely one to try. Honestly, I didn’t really get the rules of some of the games (they were kinda complicated for me 😂), but I still enjoyed watching because of the political tension between the players. The way they moved, schemed, and formed alliances was way more entertaining than the games themselves. But by Episode 9, I kinda lost interest. Some players started showing their true colors, and not in a fun way. I was especially disappointed with So Hui—she felt so indecisive, always siding with Hyun Gu, and didn’t really try to work with other players. It felt like she was just playing it safe instead of actually playing the game.
By the time Episode 10 rolled around, I was just skipping through most of the scenes. The winner became super predictable, so Episodes 10 to 12 didn’t really excite me anymore.
Overall, it’s a good watch if you like strategy, tension, and mind games. But for me, the later episodes lost their spark. Still, the earlier part of the show was worth it for the drama and power plays alone.

Disappointing season
Some things were done better than the first like the prison games, but most things made the season worse.1. The players were divided early on where half the members were sent to the prison to face death. Not only are these low piece players who can be easily targeted during main games, but they also have to face a second elimination during the prison game. So the living room players more or less remained the same throughout the season and the people who went to prison never came out other than Choi Hyun joon who didnt even want to attempt the secret room game.
2. The huge divide after the main game created early alliances where people with strong alliances kept winning games and weaker players are sent to prison and have no hope of getting out of there. There was no room for people like Lee Sedol or Justin Min who were interested to play their own game. The whole season depending on alliance where weak players like So hui and Tinno (they were both very smart and played the games with strong strategy, but had weak nerves and therefore easy to manipulate) held on to strong players to survive until the end (no comments on what happens later because that's ridiculous).
4. What's the point of having a secret room in the living area? The game is already heavily favored towards high piece players and this doesn't help. This secret room game also came with no consequences aka no elimination, like wtf??? This game also came no surprise to the player vs the prison side secret game was more innovative with elimination risks that gave the exact same reward for winning i.e. 10 pieces except with a major advantage i.e. the winner can claim the 10 pieces at any point even when he is just about to get eliminated. Like why do we even need to watch 12 episodes when everything was decided on the very first episode? Did the producers think the secret room wont be unveiled until much later? These are extremely smart people on the show, especially after the first season, everyone is going to be on the look out for this stuff in this season. The secret rooms were solved in the very first episode. This was too easy as opposed to the first season where the clue was super hard to find and can be solved by the living room player (the one with more pieces) to unlock the secret room on the prison side.
5. Lots of manipulation by few players. In the first season I loved watching people get along with each other despite differing alliances. Except of Dong Jae and See Won who were aggressively competitive and had strong alliance opinions, most people were friendly and mixed well with everyone. In this season the prison divide just ensured alliances were fixed and the cast itself seem to play to that game play. I liked a few players, those who were strong strategically but also competitive and straightforward and played well with everyone: Sedol, Justin, 7high were my favorites. the others who were not terrible, but somewhat strategically selfish that I could root for was eun yu, har in, je yeong. I absolutely disliked Hyun gyu, so hui and later Tinno when he backstabbed 7high.
6. Why were there so many auction/betting games? Why were the final games so simple? Why were so many of the main games to be played in teams or easy to form team and play? Prison games were more fun since we got to see the player's real skill while playing it. They also need high reward for people playing the death games so they can recover from their poor fates. I personally think the people in the prison should be fed better to be able to have the energy to play multiple games in a day. If anything this season shows how stupid the producers unbalanced the prison side of the game sort of a mimic to represent society where rich gets richer and the poor have no hopes to improve their fates. But game shows are fun only if events are unpredictable and when everyone has an equal opportunity to win.
7. Poor casting. I wont say the first season cast was absolutely perfect. There were a few weaker players even if their IQ was supposed to be high like Yu Min, Hye Sung or the Go player who hung on to some stronger players for longer than they deserved. But the strong players played their game fair for the most part like Orbit or Dong Jae or Seok Jin. Some people though Dong Jae doesnt deserve to leave soon, while I agree to some extent, he does deserve to be eliminated because he didnt have a back-up plan to maximize his points or the vision to stick with his original alliance that would guarantee he prob wont get betrayed by forming teams with newer players who were part of a major alliance.
Anyway, the casting this season also has a few weak players, but most of them were very strong strategically but its frustrating to see them get so blatantly manipulated by not so strong, cunning players like hyun gyu. He didnt find the clocks, kyuhyun did. He didnt find the secret room, So hui found the birds and trees. He didnt solve the puzzle, So hui did by finding "Insert". He just "accidentally" drops his piece after they solve the puzzle and enters the room without discussing with the other living room people if any of them wanted to go esp So hui or kyun hyun. The prison room people on the other hand actually decided fairly on who wanted to enter and everyone played a part in solving the puzzle. hyun gyu is smart in the sense where he knows how to play the people (like a sociopath) but has no real skills in playing the game. He wins by forming strong living room alliances with strategically strong players like So hui, Tinno and 7High and later Hyun Joon. When he realized he was betrayed by hyun joon in the mancala game and he now had to play alone, he desperately manipulates his older alliances like So hui and Kyuhyun to betray their new group so he "doesnt feel alone". And they agree....they dont have a backbone and kyuhyun deserves to be eliminated because of this poor decision (Remember he doesnt even know hyun gyu had the 10 piece advantage when he decided to help him because of fake tears). So hui is even worse than hyun gyu imo. She is so smart, yet so easily manipulated by hyun gyu every moment is just so unbelievable. She wanted to take pieces from the living room players after winning her game because they had tons of pieces but instead didnt question once when hyun gyu suggested she take from prison players instead because that would ensure they remain weak. Then she cries on how she feels bad to do this. She sends Tinno to the prison because hyun gyu tells her he has the best chance of coming back to the living room (but not him ofc) and she just agrees and then cries and feels bad when he gets eliminated that day. Hyun gyu just keeps evading prison because no one has the spine to send him to prison and he had an unfairly acquired secret room advantage. Send him to prison and we would have seen how much he truly was capable to strategically winning solo games. But we already know he isnt that smart and purely relies on manipulating others to cover for him. Did he play devil's game well? Sure, he kind of did and he did play a huge part in securing that lucky advantage that the producers screw up. But was it fun to watch? No, its not fun to watch the Devil win an unfair game. When he said things like "Are you scared (derogatory)?", "Do you know how to math?" to hyun joon who he knows goes to top tier school in S. Korea for mathematics, and that sealed the deal for me. He is arrogant, not even the smartest in the room but calculative, unemotional, selfish i.e. completely unlikeable and undeserved winner. I would not have hated him as much as I did if he had to play the game in alliance with smarter players like 7high, eun yu, harin or hyun joon who are not afraid of playing the game or betraying him, aka people with courage and strategy to take risks. Unfortunately most of these people were in the prison away from him for the most part and he instead ended up forming alliance with lucky loyal doormats like kyuhyun, Tinno and the pick-me girl So hui. They should really stop casting celebs like So hui and kyuhyun who are afraid to play the game like it should be because they are worried about societal backlash if they are found playing dirty but instead actual smart non-celebs who care about winning the final pot and ruthless enough to do whatever it takes for maximum entertainment. If
Anyway once my favorite players got eliminated playing the game, I just fastforwarded to see who the winner was, though I already know but still hoped it was hyun joon. In my opinion, hyun gyu is a sociopath without finesse and So hui is a high IQ coward. I want justice for 7high, Justin Min, SeDol, Eun Yu who played courageously and strategically but in unfair conditions. I hope season 3 cast, game design is better than this one, at least please revert back to season 1 prison rules at the minimum. If you are going to cast a sociopath, please cast more than one.

Haters need to touch grass
I think some viewers hating on this show shouldn’t be watching this type of show. Maybe grow up a bit first, so that you don’t feel the need to send hate to real people.I think this season was wayyyy more fun than season 1. Of course I was frustrated at some players and found some situations unfortunate for the players I liked the most, but that’s why it was so fun to watch. And no, Hyungyu is not a psychopath for wanting to win. What did he do that’s so terrible? He never forced other players to do anything they didn’t want to do. And he apologized at the end for his behavior, and in my opinion he didn’t have to apologize for being intelligent and playing the game according to its rules lmao, he’s just way ahead of everyone else. He apologized because he knew the other contestants were a bit baffled and not rooting for him as much as they were rooting for Sohui. They’re all super smart and accomplished people, so don’t worry, they’ll be okay, it’s just a game lol some people need to touch grass because what if these contestants saw the comments? What about the production team who clearly tried to fix the problems with season 1’s dynamics. The cast was way better, more well-rounded and focused in the competition. If some people used their brains for critical thinking, they wouldn’t be hating on contestants of a GAME. Even players like Kyuhyun and sohui, who honestly frustrated me a bit for being emotional players, have their own reasoning and have the right to play the way they think matches their principles. Grow up, this is literally why we can’t have nice things. Let’s just hope the production team keeps innovating each season and is able to bring us more quality games and dynamics!
