It has a happy ending and the kind of love story that feels... predestined. If you enjoy the tight-knit, us-against-the-world relationship between Fan Changyu and Xie Zheng, you will most likely enjoy this one as well. This ML is NEVER abusive towards the FL, but his thoughts run very dark. He is ruthless, vengeful, complex, and yet possess this child-like innocence that's both endearing and unnerving---quite an unusual character that is different from any ML I've ever encountered in a novel before. The way he falls in love with her feels so natural and beautiful, and you can feel his obsession and love deepen the longer they are together.
Warning: some parts can be quite bloody and violent, and there are plenty of spicy scenes where the leads "learn" stuff together (if you know what I mean). The couple is quite young, like 18-19-ish.
