Is it because you don't like the song or you just don't like to hear it repeated every episode?
The music right after the ep ends is only instrumental, at least until I stop it. The best way to describe how it sounds to me is a high-pitched screeching bagpipe. I don't hear it quite like that in the drama except for a toned down version when fighting scenes are about to start.
The songs are nice, just not that particular section.
Not sure if I'm making any sense, lol.

Haha! High-pitched screeching bagpipes is not something I'd want to listen to, either!

The flashback scenes are accompanied by the suona, a traditional Chinese double-reed horn known for its piercing, high-pitched, and powerful sound. It can be a bit intense for unaccustomed ears, and it’s commonly used in traditional weddings, funerals, and folk music, especially in northern China.

Thank you for this information! One of the things I've loved about watching Chinese dramas is learning about the culture, way of life and history of China.

Thank you for the interesting background info! 😊
Way too high pitched for me as a hsp. (highly sensitive person). I'm on ep 21 so I've gotten used to stopping the vid in time, lol.

I personally love the first half of the series episode 28 ish, i think it's really good and i love the chemistry and the caring love but after that? Eps 30+ are filled with politics, feels a bit rushed and I don't really know why but it just fell off for me. I came here to seek the answer on why i felt that way..? Is it just me or people who have watched up to eps 40 feels the same?
YES! I FELT THAT TOO!! I thought it was just me ~ LOL
Im kinda disappointed in the ending.. whats with them 5 years later without much context (literally jus them gg for war again??) .. and nxt second they are writing another plot to imagine if there was no catastrophe 17 years ago. Felt like that could be just part of bonus scene instead of the actual drama. Could have given us a better and fuller ending after all the sufferings.

So many Chinese dramas suffer from lackluster to horrible endings. It's really frustrating.
I really loved The Double, Love like the Galaxy, and I was expecting the same quality (as far as I have read in the comments before watching... ) But just like often with long C-dramas, I think that after episode 25 it became very very long : lack of explanations, lies, plots... I lost my patience :
I often didn't understand why the two main leads didn't have a serious discussion... The female lead became stupid, she didn't see that her man was a noble and a general... pffffff....
They are not together, so why did she join him ??? Didn't she wish divorce ? ; she came to the military camp and she lived there, no problem ??? She wished to assist him as a child ? she gave him a beverage to sleep instead of making the war ???, because she is afraid he can't fight ????
Even if other couples appeared (Gongsun and the princess, Qian Qian and the big villain, OK I admit : they are cute, male actors are all handsome), there are many battle scenes (I didn't watch, too long and too violent) , some exagerated facts (is it possible, such a butcher girl won against two strong male generals ? - Qian Qian and the villain : what was she doing ?.. The emperor behaves like a child...), ............so I felt that it was time for the end.

This is something I have experienced with so many long Chinese dramas. I can handle it to a point, but then I'm just over it and have to FF or skip large chunks altogether. So rare to find a long drama that can sustain my interest. And when they have too many inconsistensies or things that don't make sense like you detailed I end up dropping them, too.
