I felt like I needed to dedicate a discussion post for all the Qi Min yearners. Normal individuals, beware, because this post is definitely not meant for the sane ones. It takes being a little crazy and questionable temptation for equally questionable fictional men in love. So ALL THE QI MIN YEARNERS, gather here with me.

 One of the biggest reasons I could keep up with so many episodes was because of this second love arc which enticed me beautifully. And I appreciate the makers of adaptation for giving us this beautifully, painfully captivating arc that keeps gnawing at some ( unstable ones like me) of our hearts. This delicious, unhinged villain’s schemes, obsession with his woman, and love tribulations was something I could look forward to even if the overall plot lost my intrigue. 

Oh my man YEARNS. The yearning he yearned, made me yearn for a villain’s happily ever after too. Now I know that this man is the ultimate villain, BAD BAD. A sinister schemer, merciless kil!er, a villain without redemption. But perhaps, perhaps, not so much irredeemable in love; Perhaps. And this made me so desperately want a real alternate ending for him and QianQian. Where he gets to move her heart, where he is ready to give up everything for her, if it means he can earn the littlest love and space in her heart. And by the ending point? That possibility may not have been so far fetched either. My tears shed with him during the last scene, as he lay there in her lap, and as he listened to her voice in his final breaths. My heart HURT.

Even if in a universe he still remains unhinged, I know my girl QianQian could keep him in check. Even then, I wished for his happy ever after with a new beginning.

Thank you for your post!!! 🙏I can breathe now. It feels stifle here for us Qi Min yearners. Like is almost sinful to like him, to say he was the reason we watched this series, and he was. Deng Kai is a powerhouse of acting and sensuality and he had the warmest of companion in Snow Kong. There is not redeemable qualities in QiMin, he is a dark terrible fictional character yet in his madness is capable of this passionate obsession for QQ to the point that to continue was to break himself and learnt to love by letting her go.
