Bound by the Wind

Sheng Xia, a young documentary director, receives her first independent assignment: to travel to the Southern County in Xinjiang to produce a documentary. During her journey, she reunites with Cheng Liang, her ex-boyfriend, who disappeared without explanation five years ago. Once a renowned neurosurgeon, Cheng Liang now works in the outpatient department of a local hospital. Intrigued by his change in life, Sheng Xia tries to understand the reasons that led him to abandon his promising career, but he continues to avoid her. As the story unfolds, Sheng Xia discovers that the secret Cheng Liang has been hiding involves an accident that shook his confidence in his profession, leading him to leave neurosurgery and seek inner peace in Xinjiang.
