One of the best episodes so far!

Lu Zhuo supremacy!!!I loved his jealousy, possessiveness and support for Wei Rao. He understands her like no other. He’s smirking, smiling, anything to get her attention. My girl can’t hide her feelings anymore, she fell for him!

Amazing

Episode 20 of Where the Mask Ends is a fierce, unflinching hour that proves Wei Rao's fire cannot be extinguished. Dragged into the palace and subjected to the Empress's cruel humiliations. threats against her maid, the degrading order to kneel and fit a shoe. she absorbs every blow without breaking. The confrontation with her biological mother Zhou Fu cuts deepest: "That maid is closer to me than you" lands like a blade, and Zhou Fu's tearful plea for forgiveness goes unanswered. Bitao's rumored sacrifice for Wei Rao adds heartbreak to an already merciless episode. Brutal, brilliant, unforgettable.

Is Chou Getting Back on Track?**

After several disappointing episodes, *Where the Mask Ends* finally begins to regain its direction.Episode 20 starts recovering what the series had lost: a narrative driven by Chou's personality rather than a succession of events that simply happen to her.Bitao's death feels like a narrative misstep. The story had already lost momentum as several important characters disappeared from the plot. However, what the screenwriter fails to achieve through dramatic construction, Tian Xiwei accomplishes through her outstanding performance: making that loss genuinely emotional. On the other hand, the ambush sequence is spectacular, featuring excellent fight choreography and a new maid who practically steals the entire scene.Unfortunately, unnecessary filler still interrupts the tension. The palace conspiracy and Chou's confrontation with the Empress Dowager could restore the series to its former quality, provided the screenwriter manages to concentrate everything into one central conflict.**Rating: 3/5 stars.**There is a noticeable improvement, but the series still has a long way to go before recovering the brilliance that initially made it so compelling.
