The first time i saw the trailer was two months ago and it looks interesting. I was right the series was so interesting, intriguing and intense. I was hooked from the beginning to end. All the cast did a fantastic job portraying their characters so well. I enjoyed watching every episodes . Wang kai and Ou hao is so amazing. This is not your typical spy drama
I really enjoyed the drama so far. Many spy drama always show experienced spy, but I appreciated the writer gives us the other side, the inexperienced ones: the new recruitsThe drama shows what is cost to become a spy, and all the sacrifices they made on the way to protect their countries.

WHAT IS THE COST OF BEING SPY
I came here right of the bat of finishing the series. of the 40 hours spent watching, I think i have fast forwarded 10mins worth of scenes. that is how good it is.This is not your typical espionage drama. it is not a cat and mouse chase. Rather it tells a tale of what is the cost of somebody being a spy, in this case the one from Taiwan, and the one guarding the security in the mainland . and how it affect the people that they cross over during the time of their mission.
i have read that some netizen complaint on how much Jin Lina’s scenes are shown in the drama. but I think its the writer and directors intention of showing, how much of the girl’s life changed when fate bring her to Lin kanshan. and maybe to tell a cautionary tale, of how her situation makes her vulnerable for target for Lin kanshan.
this is also much of love story woven in a espionage drama. more than lin kan shan and Jin Lina, it is how the story tells the tale of Maqi, and He ChunXiao. of how much he chunxiao wanted to stay with Maqi, but in the end the both have their own road to travel. it almost felt like an unrequited love story.
I hope people give this a chance. it felt that 20 years of my life is gone with the characters. that is how good it is . I’ve watched a lot of drama, tonnes of them, yet I would say, this stand in the top 3 the best that I have ever watched.
