The episode opens up with Xiao painting Qi Lu by the window. They were boyfriends at present and were teasing each other. They were also reminiscing about the very first time they met... In 2017, Qi Lu won 3rd prize and the Best Collector's Value Award at the Asian Youth Artist Exhibition. His dad picked him up after the competition. The car stopped when XIao, who was being chased, was halted by the sidecar where Lu was seated. It was a brief glance from Lu inside the vehicle, where Xiao was oblivious outside and then ran away shortly after. Their next meeting was at Boyi Studios. Qi Lu was supposed to attend Jiyi Art Studios but opted to go to Boyi upon learning that Qin Xiao was a student there. Before he left, he intervened in a heated discussion between Qin Xiao and Jiayu by promising the latter a pair of imported sneakers. Qin Lu stormed out after promising to pay and share Jiayu's punishment for cleaning the toilet. Qi Lu followed him discreetly and witnessed Qin Xiao confronting someone who revealed to have bullied Tan Yi, the deaf friend of Qin Xiao. Back at his apartment, Qi Lu ordered something for delivery, and the delivery man at the door was none other than Qin Xiao. He feigned a stomachache as he didn't want Xiao to leave immediately. It worked as Qin Xiao stayed and cooked some noodles for him. After Qin Xiao left, Qi Lu saw Xiao and Tan Yin walking together. Qi Lu decided to go downstairs. He was in Grandpa's store browsing some sketches when he hastily grabbed a drink, paid, and scurried outside when Grandpa called Qin Xiao to ask about the drawing paper he asked for.
