EXCITING, THRILLING AND REFRESHING for episode 1-8 only. ?
It was exciting, thrilling and refreshing, LIKE I LITERALLY WAIT FOR NEW EPISODES ON SCHEDULE, until episode 8. After Ep8 everything goes down the drain. But I'd still give this 4stars since most of 8/12 episode got me HOOKED REAL HARD.Also, SHIN HYE SUN's acting is a 10! 🔥 Kang Hoon and Lee Jinwook also did a great job. ALL THE ACTORS did a great job.
Shin Hye Sun deserves the BEST ACTRESS AWARD. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
So there, 10 stars for episode 1-8, 0.5 star for episode 9-12

I wanted a trople...deal. (My unlikeable review)
So here is my unlikeable review. This 'wreaked my eyeballs'. So, here's my take and why I left a high rating. I started this because I adore, absolutely adore our FL. I love our ML as well, but I came here to watch out FL and Shin gives like she always does. Now for the story plot, I understand why people have given this such a low rating because they are stuck on the early toxicity of our ML. It's hard to swallow if you are not used to seeing it or are just absolutely over it. I come from a mental health background and I'm an older Millenial watcher, so taking this in as a story about mature love, one that goes through the ups and downs. One where I think this story writer is trying to show how to give a love story through the lessons of that 'rocky' road intermingling with mental health/trauma and grief. There is a LOT here.
For me, I kind of got it. Which made me not totally sour and clock out. I hate that our ML's background was used to make us pity him in a sense, but at the same time, it really wasn't about that, it was an understanding of how he became where he was and in all his 'trauma' was someone who did love her, and saw that he was being damaging. It was why I never rooted for him. LOL I really wanted our SL to win and toward the end, once EVERYONE got therapy (This didn't happen, it was a hope), I wanted a healthy Polagamy *wink* because I ended up understanding EVERYONE'S POV. This is why I gave this review what I did.
A complicated bit of maturing into love.

The Quietest Stories Are Sometimes the Truest
I didn’t expect this one to reach me the way it did. There was nothing flashy drawing me in — no twisty hook, no high-concept pitch — just a softness I couldn’t quite name at first. But Dear Hyeri didn’t come looking to impress. It came to sit. And somewhere in that stillness, it undid me.What struck me wasn’t what the show said — it was what it allowed to linger unsaid. The grief didn’t demand to be witnessed. It simply existed, in glances, in pauses, in the way people stumbled through ordinary days while carrying the weight of things they couldn’t speak aloud. The writing didn’t try to resolve the ache. It trusted it. Guilt, longing, memory — all of it was held, not fixed. And there’s something deeply rare in that kind of narrative patience.
Every frame felt intentional. Not in a stylistic sense, but in emotional architecture. Nothing wasted. No filler. Just slow, steady excavation. The lead performance especially — it didn’t feel acted. It felt lived. There was vulnerability, but it never asked to be admired. It just existed in the open, bare and careful and true.
And then there were the silences. I’ve never felt so much spoken through quiet. There were entire scenes where nothing happened — no music, no confrontation — just someone sitting, breathing, remembering. And somehow, those were the scenes that cracked me open the most. Because real grief doesn’t always arrive with tears. Sometimes it just lingers in the room with you, waiting to be noticed.
This wasn’t a show built for drama. It was built for recognition. And by the end, I wasn’t just moved — I felt seen. Not in some grand, sweeping way. Just gently. Honestly. Like the story had reached into something I hadn’t realized I was holding and said, me too.
I don’t know that I’d recommend it to everyone. It doesn’t chase attention. But for those it’s meant for, it lands quietly and fully — like a letter written in a voice you didn’t know you’d been missing.
And it stays.

An excellent drama for those who watch until the end, accepting imperfect characters.
Well, here we go.Easily one of the best dramas I've ever watched, and by writing this, I know I'll be disagreeing with most of the comments, and that's perfectly fine by me.
One thing I loved about this drama was the attention to detail with the photography, cinematography, and OST. Impeccable!
To begin, I think it's important to understand that the script does not present perfect characters, in fact, it's almost a competition to see who is the least sane person inside that broadcasting station. They are problematic characters, with highly questionable attitudes, and I think that's awesome! Guess what, guys, not every character needs to be perfect and immaculate. Some characters will make mistakes, sometimes serious mistakes, but that doesn't mean they are bad "people," but rather, characters with layers, who succeed and fail.
I feel that currently, we are developing a culture where every character needs to be a big 'green flag,' otherwise, that character shouldn't be appreciated. The result of this is characters who are increasingly shallow, with the depth of a teaspoon.
One point to consider is that for this drama to make sense, you need to watch until the very end, and pay attention all the way through. Every episode is important, no revelation will happen right away, and some attitudes will only make sense if you watch until the end.
Reading some comments, many say that the main character, Eun-Ho, only got "cured" because of a man, and for me, this is the greatest injustice when talking about this drama. Contrary to many other stories where mental health issues are not taken seriously at all, here, we have Eun-ho on her journey to "healing" (although the word healing may not even be that appropriate), and this process is not linear. She does therapy, she takes medication, she has feelings, she has relapses, because that's how it works! She tries to discover how to be happy, and after trying to live like Hyeri, she understands that what was causing her unhappiness WAS NOT JUNG HYEON. Of course, he could be part of it, but the sadness and anxiety she felt were due to guilt, longing, and all the unresolved feelings she had regarding her sister. Notice that she only manages to make significant progress when she understands this herself, and when she understands it, she finds room to love herself again. Eun-ho's answer when asked what she needed to be happy is this: Her favorite person should be HERSELF. The boyfriend was just a detail, and no longer the center of her entire universe.
Furthermore, all the other characters are extremely interesting; for me, it's a rare drama where I genuinely managed to be interested in all of them, from the protagonist's supervisor to the male lead's grandmothers.
One critique that I agree with 100% is that Shin Hye-sun's acting level was far above the male cast, and that is absolutely true, and unfortunately a reality present in many Korean dramas. However, one point I would add is: Despite not liking the male lead's acting, the chemistry between them was truly excellent; few couples manage to convey so much naturalness on TV, but I also attribute this factor to Shin Hye-sun, who always delivers a very good rapport.
In short, an excellent drama for those who watch until the end, accepting imperfect characters.

The title of this drama is misleading
Instead of Dear Hyeri it should have been Dear Eunho or Dear Hyun Oh😭The drama started so strooong but somehow managed to drag the plot with just 12 episodes!
This drama could have been one of the greatest healing genre out there but suffered greatly from bad screenwriting.
Its quite sad seeing the ratings here go from an 8.5 to a 7.3 however understandable.
There were too many plots going on and I could say it was all over the place. Despite its title, the kdrama showed more of Hyun Oh's story than Hyeri's or even Eunho's at all. Moreso, I found it hard to follow the story with many (unnecessary) side plots from including of from side characters.
I personally think this would've done well as a rom-com. The drama doesn't build up its plot well which caused me confusions constantly.
The ending satisfied me just fine though. I also enjoyed Jinwook and Hyesun's chemistry. I just wish their love story could've been conveyed well..so i guess thats some few good stuff about this drama.
If you're gonna watch this I suggest to watch it with something light. It gets depressing along the way.
Overall, its a 7.0! Just because I appreciate the thought ??? that this kdrama could have been 😞

SHIN HYE SUN never disappoints!!!
i don’t usually write reviews but people already tried to drag this show down with low ratings even tho it’s literally first episode. soo i’m gonna say what’s there to like in this kdrama .1) chemistry between woman and 3 “love” interests . really! we have seen a lots of kdramas with no chemistry whatsoever and SHS nailed it with 3 men ! ICONIC .
2) we don’t normally see split personality topics in kdramas .
3) you can already feel from ep1 this kdrama will have deep and meaningful scenes.

Soggy sandwich
I don't think I will be able to say something useful as I, myself is kindah clueless about the point they were trying to make in this drama. If What i thought is correct, then they were trying to portray "healing together" at the end of the drama but taking the coping of the symptoms out of focus and Just showing "love heals all. " which is a very Incorrect, speaking from a medical point of view.It is like a Soggy sandwich: it has every ingredients you like but you added too much ketchup and left it alone for a while and now it's just a soggy mesh.

Should have called this drama 'Dear H.' and let audience guess. What a waste of 4 years!!!
In this show there is a scene where Eun Ho asks Hyun Oh what 8 years mean to someone. It's the time taken to have a child and send it to school or so she said. Then what does 4 years mean? What does 12 years mean?If you follow through the entire drama you can easily see that the primary issue that was presented and resolved in the last 3 episodes could have been resolved in under 2 years had the ML attempted to be the adult he was supposed to be (I am estimating him to be around 32 at the time of break up). And after 4 years of repeat trauma and agony everything got resolved in just --one--freaking ---month? What? I would love the writer to clarify whether her DID was triggered by guilt and trauma due to missing sibling or the extreme loneliness she suffered through or the breakup itself (where supposedly she invested all her emotional dependence on an emotionally unavailable man). If it is break up then they didn't have to put all that trauma on her for 4 years. It's absurd and contradicts so much with her healing process shown in the drama. I am not a psychology expert but isn't DID our brain's response to extreme trauma that it has to split into different identities to cope with it? Could that trauma be just resolved in a month? What new realization did Eun Ho receive after staying in the cabin in the woods by one month? That being with the one you love is happiness? I would have her rather go to Himalayas and attain enlightenment at this point.
Among Chinese webnovels there is a character called 'MIL author' or 'stepmother author' specifically referring to authors who put their FLs through extreme angst while pampering their favorite, toxic but all good qualities attributable to , MLs. And I think the author of this show can be called one.
The comment section in MDL already has plenty of comments elaborating why Hyuon Oh isn't the right choice for Eun Ho's healing and I am not adding further to that. Yes we had the producers already pointing to that Eun Oh and Hyun Oh are endgame but the way they achieved that is extremely dissatisfactory. It was all about Hyun Oh to the point that even Eun Ho who is (supposedly) recovering from something severe as DID had to play therapist to him. This is why I emphasize that they should call this show 'Dear H' and let audience decide to fill it with Hye Ri or Hyun Oh.
Why did I spent 12 hours watching all the episodes? Because of the excellent cinematography and Shin Hye Sun's acting. She had to carry this show on her shoulders to make up for other poorly written randomly placed characters and act out two episodes of extreme mental breakdown to get to the end. I hope the PDs give her a fully sponsored relaxing vacation to recover. The sad part is some of the screenplay in later episodes was so poor that even her acting skills couldn't makeup for the void. We are already exposed to the both MLs' excellent acting skills in other shows but the poorly written characters with no room for development derailed any performance they could deliver in this show.
If you enjoy angst melodrama shows then you can choose to watch this show. The first 4 episodes are truly masterpieces of their own. Had this show released pre 2015 (or early 2000s) this would have been a hit drama but unfortunately we as audience has grown beyond that era of romanticizing emotional dependence as true love.

Spilt Personality with feelings for Ex.
I have watched 2 Episodes for this drama and i can say this for this drama.1. The FL has 2 personality and she is switching it in day and night.
2. The FL Ex is still trying to get back or FL is still has lingring feeling for her Ex.
3. The sencond ML is also join this mess of FL & ML.
4. The FL is having the second peronality of her sister or somting like that.
So far this is what i can tell, lets see what is there in the store for remaining episodes. Hope it doesn't disspoint.

Drop It Like It's Hot! - Snoop
I think the title is accurate, sadly, the show is not hot, it's cold as a dead person.Yeah, no, thank you. I already had enough of this show after 2 and a half episodes. Shin Hyesyun's acting is top-notch as usual, but the whole DID plot was ridiculous. Like, how can you live like this and no one knows anything about it? She had a boyfriend for 8 years and her persona never changed? The writing was LAZY AS HELL and INCONSISTENT! How is that she's still alive even tho she has 2 jobs? Not to mention BORING side characters. EVERYONE!
Now, I read how it ends, so that's another reason to not finish it. 2nd ML is okay, she had 10 times better chemistry with him, but then he has a STALKER woman next to him, and he ends up with her? Are you mad?
The funny thing is, I dropped "When the Weather Is Fine" after 2 episodes too, and it's the same writer.
This is 2 out of 2 bad show from her so far.
