Friendly Rivalry Episode 1 Reactions
I think the episode was good. You get to see how Woo Seul Gi's life has gotten to this point of being a foster child, being poor, going from being bullied to respected, her getting involved with multiple types of medication, and so on. We get to see her enter her new school and kind of inmediently make a target out of herself to bullies by: Being in the wrong rooms, being late to class, wearing the wrong uniform, having her suitcase break down in the middle of class, etc. We also get introduced to the second main character Yoo Je I who seems nice so far.

Solid 1st Ep. Kept me interested. Really would like to know if Seul Gi's parents ever tried to look for her. I am also intrigued by the Queen Bee! She reminds me of Mun Ka Yung's character in Tempted!

The main lead looks pretty while having hard time. Manwha seulgi is weak but here in drama she fighter because of hardship shes an orphanage, i think her acting nailed on this episode 1. Cinematic and lighting ok, the fitting story of 30mins is good so it will not look bland and then you will want more next eps. The started of missing the show more. You will notice.

Seulgi had to fend for herself from an early age and that shows in her high school self. Her wearing the wrong uniform to the beach and wearing the wrong uniform to high school was great.

The perfection with acting was the best. I have never watched anything as good as this. I am indeed in shock on whether it’s the plot of the story or really just actors Hyeri and Subin. They were really great. All the cast in this series were really amazing. I would definitely look forward to season 2 or even a special episode of Friendly Rivalry. Korea! YOU ARE ALL THE BEST IN MAKING SUCH FILMS.

I don't know, the environment around her just feels scary, everytime this drug thing is included, got a bad feeling I guess. The beginning is quite interesting that, first she went on a kindergarten trip then got lost on the beach and then to an orphanage, and now running away from that life. That she moves to Seoul to a prestigious Girls High School, and the girls here are Egoistic, none willing to talk to her, but at the same time a really popular girl is talking to her and initiating the conversation with her but she is responding with dry answers.

I don't do review usually, but bruh this series deserves it, so Imma give it to them. I just love the characters so much, it's so perfect for HYERI and SUBIN, the chemistry is insane between them, even the supporting actresses were doing great. I can't imagine to have the following weeks without them.☹️ It gives me excitement to go home after a tiring work. I hope they get to have another series together. SENDING LOVES from the PHILIPPINES.

This story is interesting. The characters and the actress are so suitable to their roles especially the role for Hyeri really suits to her. To all her kdrama this is the drama I really like for her. She's so badass and at the same time her character is full of mystery.

The introduction perfectly sets the stage for Jay and Seulgi’s rivalry. From the very first glance, you can feel the underlying tension between them. Kudos to everyone who's behind of friendly rivalry, from directors, writer, productions and cast you all did so well. This series doesn't seems rush and low budget, i love it so much that 4x a week is not enough. I'm obsessed with this series. I will patiently wait and hope for a gl end game. Seulgi and jae yii has top tier chemistry, i love their eyes and how they express emotion. WE DESERVE THIS KIND OF GL, THE AESTHETICS AND STORY THAT MAKE VIEWERS WANTS MORE OF IT!

The introduction was fairly simple, and there wasn't anything peculiar about it except for the numerous changes they made to Woo Seul Gi's character. Overall, a good start, nothing too good to stand out on its own, neither anything too terrible.
