Lock Her (2025)

A tale of not doing certain things to live a happier life.

Drama focuses on 3 characters, ML FL ,2 ML whose decisions affect everything. Themes were; consider consequences before making decisions and know your own strengths and limitations.. The first applied more to the 2ML who killed the FL family whose family own a bank as he was manipulated by his uncle, the mastermind. 2ML was henchman of ML, his twin elder brother, the head of the family and warlord of the army. He was given conditional love by his father to always help his elder brother and thereby arouse d sibling jealousy and love-hate relationship. Hence he was easily manipulated by uncle for he was poor at making decision .So he killed her family even though. he was attracted but on denial mode since childhood when she took pity on him during a visit to his home when she found him isolated and kept hidden from attending party at his own home . She gave him a party cake to cheer him up. His love story with her was going into sadness as he can't wash off his guilt. He has a damaged personality due to conditional love of father and brother only to found out too late when his brother sacrificed his life for him that his brother really cared and loved him. He grew up after that to ,become the substitute groom .He loved her not to cause any more pain for her when he left her alone at wedding night and when he took a wedding photo without her. He then went off to war and perhaps as his uncle had said girls like heroes , played a hero too far and got killed.

This drama is not for people who want a strong FL.who can kill the culprit in cold blood in revenge. When her family were killed she went to live with her father's close friend whose son was engaged to her dead elder sister. The matriarch of the family gave her protection on condition she entered as a dead sister substitute bride. FL was already attracted to ML since young when her sister was alive but kept it hidden while ML was really in love with her instead of her sister. Their love relationship was somewhat like forbidden love ,for in essence she was marrying her dead sister's love. hence happiness in such a marriage will have on and off guilt.

Know one 's own strengths and limitations for FL did figured out that the killer was 2ML and his uncle the mastermind yet she didn't killed them instead 2ML killed his uncle and 2ML died in war. Grandmother was the most logical and practical realist for she had told her to forget about revenge and just married into her family. She also had the quiet strength to let go of her beloved dead elder grandson when she cried and begged forgiveness in a dream ,for burying him in unmarked grave and making his bride married his brother. She will made up for that in the next life. Later she was shown having a happy life and playing happily with grandson. She is a study of letting go.

In contrast, FL also dreamed of dead ML coming back to tell her he was going to war. She begged him not to go but he was adamant and told her to grow up. She can't let go. She was in grief and depressed ,looking at wedding photos herself and ML and again with sadness when she received news that 2ML was killed and looked at his wedding photo, the one without her in it. She was not shown playing with her son instead only shown when son was around 10 years when she was at bedside of dead grandmother .Story ended with her closing the house and taking her son back to her old home to meet with his father and uncle. She is going to live in her world of illusion of happy memories. Pragmatic grandmother was straight- thinking as the truth lock her away from having a 2nd chance of happiness with 2ML.
