Road to cdrama started when I wanted to learn Chinese but since I like historical dramas as I am a hist. fan it's long journey as most recommend modern cdramas .However I am the optimistic problem solver type, for my philosophy is efforts count more than anything. The type who believes in God/Fate/Universe helps those who help themselves and destiny is in own hands if can seize , be bold and courageous and have vision see the big picture. Nothing ventured, nothing gain.
Rating of dramas depends mainly on the story/script is my 1st criteria and the ending my final rating. As an optistimist, I don't BE/OE, as watching drama for me is not just entertainment but learning some life lessons-the experiences of the writer and what advice/messages he wants to impart. Propaganda I can filter as am hist. fan, so historical facts versus propaganda is easy to ascertain . OE not my taste as its shows incapability's to finish one's own job well, similar to Chinese saying " Got Head No Tail" . A Loser tales. Watching dramas for me especially the last drama before I switch off is to put me in a good mood, a winner tale.
Reality as I am a factual person so genres are courtroom drama as I was in school debate society, historical as is a hist. fan, psy .police dramas are like analytical psy. insights of human nature ,wuxia as practicing qigong daily and comedy as cultivating a sense of humor makes life fun and cheery plus enhancing and appreciating it with gratitude.
Review writing is when I see other reviewers don't write from the angle I see the story. IMO the script-writer is passing his experiences, beliefs and philosophy into the drama. Watching drama is not only entertainment but a bonus if one can find something for self improvement and self progress.
