Comfort drama

This drama is for those who are looking for comfort. This drama brings you the stress of being introvert, the joy of pursuing one's passion and discovering more to life. There are some points in the drama where the story is a bit lacking but honestly the actors pull through. I came here for Han hyo joo and she did not disappoint. She portrayed her character perfectly from the body language to the speech. I loved her especially for the fact that they did not portray her like most kdrama actresses these days- thin to the bone and sharp jawlines. As someone struggling with body image I was so grateful to come across an actress who does not have a sharp angular face and stick thin body and still looking so perfect and beautiful.

Relax and Enjoy.

Romantic Anonymous

If you would like to watch something completely refreshing then please give it a go. It feels like a really warm winter morning with smiling people and appreciating life. The Show have very well written characters, even the most unnoticeable characters gets some highlight. The drama has really good cinematography as well, some shots that were taken were very heart warming to watch.

Now to Spoilers,

I really enjoyed this throughout the whole way, I cant name any flaws except for how short it is. Despite you wanting more, it still feel perfectly wrapped.
I really liked the portrayal of both the phobias, being starred at is really heart wrenching isn't? The Male Lead did an exceptional job as well, his character was really well done. I like how they didn't hold back, I liked how he addressed himself as the "dirty", If anyone touches him they get dirty.

The last episode did an delightful job of wrapping it up nicely, it felt like they truly cared for the show. They carefully gave a really well wrapped gift to the viewers. FL facing the world and the ML's speech was amazing to watch. Even the SFL had such amazing moments. Although the cameos were so unnecessary😂.

A simple romcom welldone after a long time

As the title says this is a romcom drama. Even though it talks about mental illness, it is not serious yet doesn't mean it takes mental health awareness lightly either. The drama for 8 episodes has perfect pacing from start to end.

It has its romcom cliches, like traumatic past, no parents trope etc. But it's really sweet. It's a nice comfortable watch and honestly after business proposal I never found another simple romcom drama, but this one does it.

There writing definitely won't be like When life gives you tangerines since this a romcom. It is meant to be simple, one time watch and it does that well.

what I love most about it is -
1. Doesn't use power of love to get over mental illness, it only shows love and understanding helps but doesn't cure.
2. therapy is needed.
3. ML isn't cold, but actually a warm person who treats everyone nicely
4. Since its a Japanese and Korean collab, the shooting and acting style incorporates both styles well balanced.
5. FL really did her best. she really adopted Japanese way of representing character.
6. FL is from Korea in the drama, but they never made the drama all about her being korean and out of place like that. the story focus is always on main plot and never strayed.
7. no unnecessary love triangles.
8. so many beautiful visuals.
9. ML is hella fine in this.

It takes a village

This drama dives into the complexities of relationships and how personal anxiety disorders inhibit communication with the people we care for most. Sosuke fears being touched after the death of his brother and Ha Na fears eye contact after the death of her mother. This unlikely pair find themselves championing a local chocolate shop and while doing so, find healing for each other. We are viewers of their trials and fears and introduced to the intricacies of chocolate making as well. Interactions between distributors and seeing them as people rather than just material suppliers adds depth to how intertwined we are with people around us, even when unaware. Kindness and courtesy are sometimes forgotten or taken for granted and this drama is quite successful at recognizing how little things matter, a loving look or touch from someone we care about and how impactful that is when done or denied. Mental health is given a more understanding environment and consideration from friends and colleagues. Work family and actual family ties are tested and this was done thoughtfully. I enjoyed this drama and have a greater appreciation for relationship ties and the happiness of chocolate. I think the actors and production did a good job with presenting complex relationships and beautiful chocolates.

The joy of chocolate…

Romantics Anonymous is a highly polished drama, just like the chocolates presented in this show. The acting is superb, the direction flawless and the writing using each episode based on a chocolate, rich in meaning.

Mental illness is a central theme. Knowing how the Japanese are regarding such a subject, a very bold representation.

Even if you aren’t a big fan of the key message of loneliness, the impact of psycho social health, watching the family of chocolatiers make their beautiful creations is a real treat.

There is no denying the joy chocolate brings. Getting to see the key ingredient for each bon bon featured and the traditions they embody were a real highlight for me. It symbolises taking time out, something we all need to do more of.

Han Hyo Joo is unrecognisable, a testament to her acting. Oguri Shun didn’t miss a beat.

The only reason it’s not a 10/10 from me is that the early episodes didn’t quite hit their stride. However, once the groove was engaged there was no looking back.

Be sure to enjoy the Kdrama surprise in the final moments.

As our beautiful couple say in the end “We’re nuts and it’s amazing!”

DIDN'T EXPECT TO FALL FOR THIS DRAMA, BUT I DID

It's one of those dramas that grows on you with its charm. From the very first episode, I couldn’t stop smiling. The chemistry between Lee Ha Na, who plays a woman with scopophobia and Sosuke, a germophobic male lead, is over the top, and I mean that in such a good way. You can already feel their connection right away and it’s so genuine and meaningful, especially because of the conditions they both struggle with.

This drama honestly made me hungry with all the pastry scenes. Everything looks so delicious that I wanted to grab one myself hahaa. The kitchen scenes are comforting to watch and Lee Ha Na’s relationship with the kitchen team is just wholesome. It gives that sense of belonging and healing that makes the drama even more comforting.

The second couple is also captivating, adding more flavor to the story without overshadowing the main leads. And don’t even get me started on the cameos, they had me shooked!

Visually, the scenery is beautiful, and the intro alone already hooked me. The leads gave me butterflies I haven’t felt in such a long time. It’s sweet, awkward, and honest in a way that feels almost personal.

Watching this drama made me reflect on myself too on how everyone carries their own fears, insecurities, or battles that others don’t always see. But even with all that people can still find connection.

Joy and Love in Chocolates

It is an interesting story revolving around chocolate and its power over people's lives. I like that the episodes are named according to a certain chocolate product.

I like how the transformation of the two leads, how they learned to get over their individual struggles and found love in the end. I am a sucker for love stories and so much also with chocolates.

I think the 8 episodes are enough and won't need a 2nd season.
All the actors did very good. I can feel the anxiety of the two leads as they are faced to do what is not common to them. I can feel the love and the joy as Hana makes her chocolate. I can feel the love of the Le Saveur team and had not discriminated Hana. I also like that both Sosuke and Hana went personally to different partners and because they had done it, they had their support. This goes to show that even in business, the care for partners is essential. It is not always about money, but the value we give to the people we work with and the people we offer our products to, is far more significant and impactful. I hope others see this value in this drama.

The sceneries are lovely. I was hoping that they made the running Leads from the wedding the ending. It seems anti-climactic to end the Anonymous Circle with a special guest.

A Sweet and Effortless Japanese Gem

I give Romantics Anonymous a 9/10 because it was such an easy and pleasant show to watch. The story is very light and beautiful, and with only eight episodes it never drags. For a Japanese show it is very well executed, and the actors are superb, bringing sincerity and charm to every scene. Perfect for a short binge, it leaves you smiling and thoughtful, easy to rewatch, with delightful pacing, crisp direction, and memorable music that enhances the tender moments Truly heartwarming, recommended.

Mouth watering sweet n comforting

This drama is really sweet and offers both adorable cast and mouth watering moments, lots and lots of mouth watering moments....

While I admit I do have some issues with some of the highly unnecessary s scenes including a trip abroad that brings nothing to the story but leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. And some slightly over simplified mental issues. The over all feel to this is that they tried to convay some kind of come as you are, you are worthy of both love and a job...

I love the leads and the sides, and even thought there is an episodic element to this it does not take away from the romance and the characters development... So basically this could have been an 8,5 or even a 9 for all the yummy and sweetnes this offers I can not fully forget episode 7 ever happened so I settled for an 8.

More Chocolate than Anonymously

My expectations was so over the top. So I had to watch it twice to make sure I got the vibes.

I never thought SG would do rom com genre ever since Rich Man Poor Woman, which I adore that drama by the way. And watching RA, it did feels awkward at first. Mishap with the chemistry. And few “meh” moments.

Awesome Jdrama when it’s superb, it will hooked you in a heart beat. Soundtrack even can do that also. However, with this one what’s memorable was cinematography. Very pretty and gorgeous everything is picturesque.

Jin Akanishi was a great surprise. And I might have that conrad-jeremiah moment of what if the jazz dude is actually the better half. I do wish their plots thickens and bring more spice to the table. So title wise, romance is just thinly layered.

Why is the story all over the place and not flowing graciously? They have the best casting and yet there’s this mist of stiffness. HHJ is amazing as always. So, why is it still oozing awkwardness.

Making chocolate scenes are great and almost like the center of it all. The wisdom of it are also great. It’s just too many loose part.

If there’s best of all episode would be the last episode. From start to finish truly like how all episode should’ve been made. Intensity and depth are really showing.

My advice is, give it a go rewatching it. In leisure speed. This is actually a really good drama.

A must watch if you enjoy a feel good romcom.

The storyline isn't anything new, however it just goes to show that when done right, it works! By the end you are routing for both the FL and ML, as well as some of the main characters in every episode. Whenever I watch a "feel good" drama, I feel like there is this invisible tempo to each episode that keeps you interested and wanting more without necessarily needing a cliff hanger or shock factor to keep you watching. It's well written, and directed and the cast did an excellent job. Definitely a must watch! ❤️

If you're looking for a story that softly melts your heart and leaves a pleasant taste, look no further: Romantics Anonymous is the perfect choice. This Japanese-Korean co-production drama, set in the exquisite world of chocolate, is a gem that addresses vulnerability and the search for love with masterful delicacy.

The premise is captivating: Hana, a brilliant chocolatier who suffers from social anxiety and cannot maintain eye contact, and Sōsuke, the new head of the chocolate shop who suffers from germophobia and cannot stand physical touch. They are two solitary souls, experts in evading human connection, who, by a wonderful coincidence, discover that their phobias seem to dissolve when they are together.

The drama unfolds with a calm and healing pace. There is no unnecessary angst or forced dramatic twists; just the patient and tender construction of a relationship between two adults who learn to tear down their own emotional walls. The chemistry between the protagonists is adorable and authentic, making every evasive glance and every small interaction feel like a huge step forward.

But, if the journey is already sweet on its own, the final chapter gives usan unforgettable moment that brilliantly seals the experience. Just when you thought the story had reached its peak of happiness, the series will leave you with a totally unexpected surprise that will bring a smile and a gasp of delight. It is the most delicious finishing touch to this story!

Highly recommended for a binge-watch that will leave you with a warm and sweet feeling.
