War of Deception

It tells the story of A Mai, a founding female general of the Southern expedition, who sets aside her femininity, dons battle armor, and rises through hardship to become a legendary warrior. During the Southern and Northern Dynasties, the Duke of Jingguo of Southern Qi is brutally murdered. His clever, lively daughter, Mai Sui, is suddenly thrust into turmoil, forced to live a life of wandering and hardship. To avenge her family, Mai Sui conceals her identity and joins the military as a woman disguised as a man. She sheds her feminine appearance for armor and, under the guidance of Shang Yi Zhi - the son of the late Crown Prince of Southern Qi - uses her intelligence and perseverance to overcome adversity, rising through the ranks with repeated military success. Starting as a mere foot soldier, she eventually becomes the famed commander of the Jiangbei Army, known across the four kingdoms. Though she initially joins the army seeking revenge, she gradually realizes that war should never be a tool for personal gain. Devoted to protecting her homeland and sparing the people from the horrors of war, she gives everything she has - not only surpassing the strength of men but also earning their respect.
