Both are political crime thrillers. Focusing on wealth, power, and corruption. Power struggles and corporate ambitions with hidden agendas.

Both dramas are political and behind the scenes someone is controlling the politics which doesn't apparently seem to be a strong figure.

Having started from the bottom and worked his way to the top, Hyeonwoo finds himself betrayed by the royal family of Soonyang Group, the largest corporation in South Korea, after providing 13 years of dedicated service. Just when he thinks all his efforts have been made in vain and prepares to embrace his death, he suddenly wakes up in the body of Dojun Jin, the youngest grandson to the founder and CEO of Soonyang, having traveled back in time. Having been granted this second chance, Hyeonwoo begins to lay the foundation for his revenge against his evil relatives.

my thought is that both hyeonwoo and dong ju are thirsty for revenge after escaping death through second chance against the organization which betrayed them.

If you loved "Buried Hearts," then you might enjoy " Hua Jai Sila" because both dramas explore revenge, family conflict, lovechild , hidden identities, and intense, emotional romance. The male leads in both stories are deeply scarred by their pasts, returning years later as powerful figures to seek justice, only to find themselves entangled in a passionate yet painful love story. Both dramas feature a strong childhood connection between the leads, family betrayal, and a dark, gripping atmosphere that keeps you hooked. While "Buried Hearts" leans more towards mystery, political and psychological depth, " Hua Jai Sila" delivers classic Thai revenge romance with high-stakes drama. If you’re a fan of angst-filled, emotional storytelling with a brooding yet vulnerable male lead, this lakorn is a must-watch.....!

Both "Buried Hearts" and "Tra Barb See Chompoo" revolve around cold, emotionally scarred male leads who struggle with past trauma, leading to complicated relationships with the female protagonists. Doctor Prisoner centers around an ace doctor in a university hospital’s emergency care center, a skilled professional who treats his patients with full devotion and without discrimination. However, his medical license gets suspended as a result of a medical malpractice incident that arises when the hospital board director causes a ruckus. He then gets his certificate as a medical internist and applies to work at a prison, where his plan is to cozy up to all the bigshots there—business tycoons, celebrities caught for doing drugs, sports stars guilty of gambling—and to win allies, with the ultimate goal of getting revenge against the hospital that ousted him. To do so, he’ll get rid of the existing prison chief doctor and claim the spot for himself.

Revenge, corruption, power scheme are similar themes

Both dramas are great makjang, complete with birth secrets, angst, murder plots, and revenge. One difference is Hotel King has more romance, but the revenge plot is still the driving force of the story.
