Fall in You was a full on soap opera.. Cringey and cliche but surprisingly fun to watch.. I really like Fan Zhi Xin.. I feel he is one of the most underrated actors in CDramas right now.. Like most of his dramas, one constant disappointment was the supporting cast.. It just screamed low budget.. Apart from the main leads, everyone else looked like they were in a D Grade drama..
The music though was good.. The beats elevated certain moments really well..

If you leave logic aside, you can actually have some fun watching it.. Like there is this one scene where she is talking to her friend about her confused feelings for her uncle and says..
'But we are family..’ and her friend shoots back, ‘So are married couples..’
That’s their logic.. That was hilarious to watch..

There were plenty of scenes that made absolutely no sense.. Like when a bunch of random nobodies shoved cameras in the FL’s face demanding clarification about her relationship with her uncle.. They weren’t even reporters, just random people in a hospital.. I mean are people that ridiculously stupid and nosy??

[ Spoilers ahead ]

Everything in this drama moves a little too fast.. The ML’s cold, dark demeanor disappears by ep 2.. The killer is caught halfway through and the leads fall in love.. They get together soon after the killer is arrested.. And by ep 15 he proposes.. They even get married and before long divorce is on the table.. The pacing was fast but not necessarily bad.. Up until ep 16, it was actually alright..

Mind you, what happens after this could have been salvaged with some good writing and a slightly higher budget.. After their marriage, things just go haywire.. A lot of nonsense.. From 'I will always be with you’ to hiding out in a hotel room.. We get the typical ML who keeps secrets from his wife because 'I don't want to lose her'.. Forget everything else, why didn’t he at least tell her that the SML approached the SFL to help break them up?? That would have made her see the SML isn’t exactly a good person and keep her guard up.. And maybe if he had just opened up sooner, her grandfather wouldn’t have been killed..

To make it thrilling, they threw in a bunch of unnecessary confusion about who is related to whom.. Like, we don’t even get a clear answer about the ML’s parents until the very last episode.. Anyway, dramatic much??

Even though I could list a thousand things wrong with this drama, there is one thing they nailed perfectly.. The main couple.. Fan Zhi Xin and Daisy Li had incredible chemistry.. Their romance and interactions alone made the whole drama worth watching..

Overall, it’s a fun watch.. I wouldn’t call it a good drama but it’s definitely entertaining.. With a stronger script, better supporting cast and a higher budget, this could have been far more likable.. Flawed as it is, this drama is worth the watch for the romance alone.. Fan Zhi Xin and Daisy Li deserved a much better script..

From Messy Start to Addictive Ride

This is a short and fast-paced drama, with each episode lasting only about thirty minutes. At first, it may feel disappointing almost like a low quality soap opera. The first few episodes are more like a warm-up, setting the stage and helping you understand the situation. But if you stick with it, things start to get really engaging around episode 5.
The romance follows the classic enemies to lovers trope, and their chemistry and tension are truly captivating. I still have four episodes left, and while the ending feels quite predictable, the journey has been worth it.
The later episodes are intense, everything is put to the test, and at times the situation becomes frustrating to watch. However, by the end of episode 20, it’s clear that the female lead is finally taking control, and I’m confident things will turn out well.
I really enjoyed the performances of the main actors. I definitely recommend giving this drama a chance and not giving up too soon. Even if it seems lacking in quality at first, it gets much better as the story unfolds.

HAPPY ENDING!!!

This is a really beautiful drama and there are very less traumatic scenes and unnecessary drama!
It is very logical and beautifull...The acting, cast and storyline all is perfect!
even if male lead is uncle of female lead they are not at all related by blood and he is just 5 years older than her!
so you can watch it! it is very amazing!!!
Also there is happy ending! so just go and watch it!

Hugs & Headpats

Wow? I wasn't expecting to like this that much!

Let me start off by saying how this is now my favorite drama of Fan Zhi Xin and Daisy Li!
The acting from both was amazing to watch.

Usually get tired of the flow or story so I fast forward.
This? Couldn't skip any scenes like at all.
Everyone knew how to make their characters come alive.

Storyline? Had me hooked from beginning to end.
FL outfits? Give the person in charge a raise.
Chemistry between the leads? Amazing to watch.

A plus, no childhood connection between ml and fl.
Which made the storyline better.
Their falling in love story was so good, and definitely my favorite part of this.

Yes, there's drama in this, but it was so entertaining and fun.

I enjoyed it very much!

Unbearable: only for Fan Zhi Xin's fans :)

I'll make it short :
Romantic-Family series, short, but worth watching only for the ML = Fan Zhi Xin

PLOT: The FL, whose parents have been exiled in Germany for 20 years and have just died, decides to return to China to live with her grandfather (Chairman of a large group). She wants to investigate the origin of her parents' murder, and suspects her young adoptive uncle (CEO of the group). Distrust -> trust -> love. They will eventually get married, but will have to face love rivals and a complex family story.

+++ Fan Zhi Xin is the only truly convincing actor,

### A twisted, excessively melodramatic story (do screenwriters need therapy?)
### The (young) actors need to improve :(
### Daisy Li should not have accepted such a weird make-up !

=> Only bearable in FF thanks to Fan Zhi Xin
***********************************************

"Falling in love is the only goal in life"— probably this drama

First thing to do before watching this is to leave logic behind , then it’s actually an enjoyable little romcom (for the most part). It’s definitely cringe, cheesy, and full of clichés. The story has been told countless times, but hey, this time we’ve got a fresh pair of actors!

The romance centers on a girl who, after her parents’ death, goes back to China to uncover the truth, after discovering she belongs to a wealthy Gu family. There, she meets her adopted young uncle.

The pacing is odd at times, but not unbearable. Honestly, I really liked this couple, they had solid chemistry, and I loved the endless hugs. The male lead’s head pats were everything. If you’re a Zhi Xin fan, this one might be a must-watch. He was extra good here, his most “green flag” character yet (at least he doesn’t try to kill the FL this time, lol). His acting was on point, his smile adorable, and even the makeup looked great.

Daisy Li was great as always. This is the bubbliest role I’ve seen her in, she was almost unrecognizable compared to her darker roles. She was adorable here, and even though she’s older than the ML, it didn’t feel that way. She did a convincing job playing someone five years younger.

The romance was good, though I felt the chemistry dipped a bit after marriage. The drama eventually leaned into soap-opera territory for no real reason, but overall it’s still worth a watch.

Mini rant:
I actually agree with the grandpa, the pairing does feel weird. I wouldn’t be thrilled about my son and granddaughter being together either. His worry about the family (only three left) breaking apart is completely valid, and the “we’ll always be together” speeches only really work in dramas. That said, the writing for grandpa’s character was inconsistent , sometimes good, sometimes bad, and it didn’t add up.

Overall, although I loved these two together, I would only recommend this if you're bored and want something to not overthink.

Average

“Fall in you” is a short love story but doesn’t have exciting elements. However, the emotional and slightly intense love story might be intriguing for viewers who enjoy shipping the couple. As always, the male lead gave an amazing performance.
It is a story about a girl whose parents were murdered. She returns to China to investigate the case, and during this time, she falls in love with a person who initially becomes her first suspect. Eventually, she uncovers the truth, resolves everything, and the story concludes with a happy ending.

Just Wanted to Watch Something Short and Immediately Got Hooked

The story is nothing new. However, their delivery was so good…hehe. It was 24 straightforward episodes. There are so many things that come together to make this one an easy watch for me.

The good:
Their acting - The ML is not a new face for me. I have seen him in these type of dramas and know he does so well in them. However, the female lead did her part well. Her makeup in episode 1-3 threw me off, especially the intense eyebag. Once they toned it down in the later episodes, she became easy on the eyes to watch. Her line delivery, expressions, and tears were on point. Why am I going on and on about the FL? Well, she did well…I am sorry.

Their chemistry - Again, Fan Zhi Xin didn’t surprise me much, but the FL matched his energy so well. Their kisses, oh God. I love how they immediately got comfy after they realized their feelings. Thought it cooled down after they got married, they still got it.

Wan wan - Many times, we see brainless SFL going on and on about how they live the ML, destroying everything as well as themselves. She bugged me a lot cos I thought she may have blackened. Was so happy when I found out she was on his side and acting as a double agent to throw off the SML.

Qin Ziyu - The writers really did their thing with him to the extent I do not hate him but feel disgusted…haha. Who ever cast him sincerely deserves a raise cos that man looked like his dad. It all made so much sense when he was later revealed to be Qin Zimian’s biological son.

The OST - This one is actually quite good. I am glad they played it a lot over the course of 24 episodes.

Fast solutions - Things get revealed fast and solved fast as well. Though the big reveal happened later. They were able to eliminate small fries that would have turned chaotic much later. This way, the plot goes along and you enjoy the twists and turns. It made it easy to actually binge the show. It’s 24 episodes, baby, not everyone has time for meaningless drama.

The bad?
The ML decisions - This is what makes Xianxia characters suffers long and arduous journey with misunderstandings. I get that you wanna protect your family, but you should tell them when shit hits the fan. I don’t understand how he failed to understand that they are there for him. Yes, they could have been angry momentarily but that won’t deter them from being your fam. He allowed himself to get played by the Ziyu guy.

I feel of you love someone, you should be able to tell them anything, instead of shouldering everything yourself. They should be the shoulder you cry on. This leads to a lot of future mess up. And it kinda did. If the FL had be written as someone who doesn’t understand or know how to plan, it would have just been long long tears.

What the FL was doing with Ziyu - Uhmmmm…babe I like you, but you took a damn risk. Imagine leaving the comfort of your house to live with a mad man, just cause you wanna lead him on or find out something. You are crazy, babe. I am sorry I have to say this. I never agree with such decisions. Everything and I mean everything could go wrong. He could drug you, kill you, or whatever. Don’t try this in real life guys.

This is my first review of a show and I think this is quite exciting. Hehe…This prolly shows how much I enjoyed the short show.

Raw acting

Lead's acting was best , as usual Fan Zixin nailed it .
Story is complex and need to watch to understand
“Fall in You” is an engaging blend of thriller and emotion, taking viewers on a true roller-coaster ride. The storyline is layered and thought-provoking, demanding attention from start to finish. Fan Zhixin shines once again—his nuanced, expressive performance proves he is steadily evolving into a complete, versatile actor.
