ThamePo Heart That Skips a Beat

GMMTV's two musicals full of original songs where main leads have to keep their relationship secret.

As compared to ThamePo, this is a very short one. It is also related to music, and they met during work. As their feelings grow, so do the obstacles that stand in their way.

-Both are GMMTV shows.
-Both are BLs.
-WilliamEst, which are a side couple in Me and Thee, are the main couple of Thamepo!
-Also has similar elements of comedy, drama, romance as well as found family bonding!

Both are music-themed BL dramas with ThamePo (Thai BL) being about a Tpop idol group while First Note of Love (Taiwanese BL) about a singer songwriter.

A group in the entertainment industry is on the verge of disbanding, placing immense pressure on their leader. Amidst the turmoil, a romance blossoms between him and the director/matron responsible for overseeing them.

If you liked Idol I, ThamePo has a really similar vibe. Both show idol life, toxic fandoms, and how fans cross boundaries. ThamePo especially dives into how agencies and public pressure affects idols.

ThamePo and Record of Youth are similar because they both highlight how toxic management can be, constant pressure being in the entertainment scene. It shows how people cross boundaries when they want to control you.

- Both dramas explore the relationship between a celebrity and an ordinary person.
- The story follows a once-famous star who has fallen out of the spotlight and unexpectedly falls for a charming and talented young chef.
- Both dramas also highlight the toxic side of fandom.

If you liked the chemistry of deanmoth in you maniac portrayed by WilliamEst, you may check other their other series ThamePo: A heart that skips a beat. Their chemistry is top notch, won't disappoint. They're totally opposite genre from each other.

BLs based on pop bands where some of the members have to choose between love or being an idol and realize their dreams.

They both deal with fame, imbalance in status, and the messiness of love behind the scenes of entertainment. One’s more mature, the other more youthful, but they complement each other nicely.

I chose Top Form because both stories blend rehearsal life, group chemistry, and an almost forbidden love. In each drama the leads know their feelings could ruin everything, so the romance simmers under the surface until it finally breaks through. That mix of teamwork, performance pressure, and love that “shouldn’t” happen feels identical in the best way.

No Worries is a short film with a similar cast to ThamePo. as it was the first acting endeavour of the LYKN members.

Much like the premise of ThamePo, Idol : The Coup is centered on a k-pop girl group which decides to have their final comeback before disbandment. Both (although ThamePo hasn't come out yet, I'm assuming based on trailers) focus on the hardships and struggles of being an idol.
Also, both feature a boygroup called MARS lol.

Both are released on Netflix… That’s what I love the most ???
Through both series we might witness:
- Celebrity and ordinary person (non-celeb) trope
- Supportive bestfriend
- Not so loving company (CEO nor manager) ??
- Friend obsessed with the celebrity
- etc…

I’m not sure what else… but overall both series are nice and lovely ??
