Sui Ge convinces Yi Xiao to leave the capital, knowing she will be targeted by the imperial ministers. Yi Xiao sets an elaborate trap to capture Ru Yan and use her as the bait for the masked man. However, she is caught off guard when she finds out the identity of the masked man, and he intercepts her before she can warn Sui Ge. Meanwhile, Sui Ge’s investigation leads him to Jing Shi’s death warriors and their attempt to assassinate the imperial minister of war. (Source: frankly at kisskh)

Harsh truths; old scars

As much as we've guessed, the masked villain is none other than Murong Yao, male lead's childhood friend whom he trusts conditionally. Feng Sui Ge would always say people close to him either betray him or leave him... The poor guy has always treated Murong Yao, his one and only friend A-Yao, as someone who's his equal. However, now that the truth has surfaced, our male lead will have to go through yet another painful experience of betrayal he'd always faced in the past...., digging into his old scars...
