Fated Hearts

一笑随歌 ‧ Drama ‧ 2025
I'm so surprised that no one recommended this drama, been it led by Li Qin and also similar in the same genre.
If you want to see another badass character like Fu Yixiao and tightly paced story, trust me! Watch Shen Lige in TSOG led by the same actress Li Qin. Palace Intrigue, action, betrayals, and all layers of Fated Hearts are here too in The Song of Glory. Have a nice watch.

Enemies to lovers trope - both from rival states/clans but end up together as allies early on in the drama. They find out who their real enemies are by learning to work together.

Both ML and FL leads are very clever, composed and collected. This establishes solid chemistry between the shows' leads, as they complement each other and can understand each other given that they match each others' intellect (and trauma/pain).

ML has one toxic parent who hopefully gets a chance to redeem themselves. Makes you feel for the ML, tbh.

Elements of brotherhood in both.

After Yi Xiao is rescued by the Ling family of doctors of the Righteous Villa, she unexpectedly reunites with her old enemy, Sui Ge.

So the two, who were mortal enemies a month ago, must now rely on each other to survive in the turbulent Yujing City, and their love secretly blossoms through countless near-death experiences. The seeds have been sown, and amid the hatred, betrayal, deception, unrequited desire, and inability to let go, everyone is both a player and a pawn.

Yi Xiao and Sui Ge can only work closely together in the storm to overcome the dark conspiracy, break the shackles of fate, live up to the people’s expectations, and not let each other down.

Enemies to lovers trope - MLs and FLs are from rival states, with the FLs pretty much subtlety going over to the other side to collaborate with the MLs to find the truth behind their earlier demise.

FLs looking good in red and both have the second ML obsessing over them.

In both dramas FL and ML are rivals. FL lost her memory and found by ML. In AYTO, ML lied about their relationship

How does "The Princess Gambit" resemble "Fated Hearts"? Everything. An enemy couple, creating turbulent surprises for each other. A moment of laughter (but behind the scenes, the tricks). The charm of conquest and its use for personal gain. When does this turn into love? Only after an arrow is accepted to save the life of someone you'd rather see dead? In the beautiful faces and charm of the main couple, a game of life or death is being played out. And saying no cuts like a razor: "I don't allow you." But the most cutting and painful act is this separation, but amidst the turmoil, love will triumph.
