This young princess of Susha is really blinded by love. However, that's how most young love starts. If only she knew the real hardships on the battlefield, and how much her older brother had to endure and go through to preserve his authority as the first prince. Duties aside, I'm glad the royal family is not that bad compared to other dramas. I wonder if there's a misunderstanding between the emperor and our prince? The current empress is pushing for her son (the 2nd prince) to take the throne, but it's a valid reason. Her family, the Zhuangs, doesn't seem entirely bad. From another pov, they look like they consider ML as a threat, but there seems to be other underlying reasons for it, apart from fighting for the throne. I can't see them as entirely bad at all, but we'll see. NOW ONTO THE EXCITING PART~ 🤩 Our drunk leads are as adorable as they can be! If you ask me how I'll describe them, FYX would be the unruly white rabbit, while FSG is the calculating black wolf 𓃥. Now why, Yi Xiao is a rabbit ₍ᐢ.̫.ᐢ₎✨ ? I'm referring to rabbits' aggressive behaviours when they're stressed are confined; they growl, they kick, and apparently, they bite~😝 Also, despite being a powerful person herself, she's still Sui Ge's 'prey'... On the other hand, our Killer God prince reminds me of a wolf leading and protecting his pack with everything he has, without being restrained by anyone, not even his emperor father. But Yi Xiao proved that he can somewhat be tamed..., by squishing his soft and bouncy cheeks~ 😂💞

feel bad for 2nd Prince as his family members are all forcing him to fight for power/throne when he clearly ain't cut out for it also you can tell ML starting to trust FL as he didn't even blink at the sword strike almost hitting his face

Feng Suige thought he could protect his sister. Even with the best of plans, unexpected reality thwarts him. To realise his sister has been too well-protected by him is a bitter pill to swallow. His loneliness and schemes are shown for what they are: Fuelled by love. When he confides his deepest thoughts to the memorial tablet of his late mother, the solitude takes on a personal informal dimension of a man holding the second-highest position in the country who cannot trust almost everyone. As a shrewd capable general, Yixiao can read that something is very off with Feng Suige. They eventually share very good bottles of alcohol. Waxing lyrical and somewhat drunk, she is unrestrained in her thoughts and observations while performing a sword dance of sorts (since she is clearly not fighting someone else).Despite being inebriated, her skills and moves are powerfully swift enough to have Feng Suige recognise this is a dangerous enemy leader who fatally shot him and nearly killed him. Ever since they first met, Feng Suige has been treating her as an enemy general he has to accept as a comrade to work together with him, at times acceding to her being female (such as getting her dolled up and publicly paraded as his concubine) when it suits his intentions. He has yet to actually see her as a woman who could be a friend. We are left to interpret his silence, as he holds an unconscious Yixiao in his arms. Poetic, open, troubled, conflicted, possibly more than simply being willing to make peace with an enemy general for the first time.
