Ito Gentaro is a well-meaning but slightly annoying father who wants his family’s happiness. His daughters face their own challenges: Yuka is successful but stuck in her love life and dieting; Rika is divorced and unexpectedly falling for Mr. Hara, a man she shouldn’t love; Mika’s relationship with her fiancé is strained. When Gentaro's wife, Chizuru, reveals a shocking secret, Gentaro makes odd statements on TV. Yuka reflects on her past with Omori, Rika seeks comfort with her childhood friend Takao in Kyoto, and Mika navigates the advances of her persistent colleagues, Isao and Suguru.
