Song Zhao Rong, as the eldest princess of the empire, was going to marry Xiao Yu, the eunuch of Dongchang! This kind of thing has never happened before, and Song Zhao Rong was also speechless and choked. Others who traveled through time were all popular for drinking spicy food. Why did my style of painting change suddenly! I wanted to end everything with one blow on my wedding night, but who knew it would happen! Great transmigration costume production
This is a great transmigration costume production with great actors and a very interesting storyline. It has a “Unchained Love”-vibe about it. Perhaps that is why I enjoyed it so much. So, don’t miss out on this one.
Summary should read something like this:
Song Zhao Rong transmigrates into the body of the eldest Princess. She is one day “asked” by the Queen to marry a Eunuch, Xiao Yu, in order to maintain the power of the throne. The Eunuch, a Governor, has the reputation of being cruel and vicious with numerous women on his conscience.
Not able to escape the marriage, she enters the bridal chamber and awaits meeting her new husband. When he finally arrives, she realizes that he forcefully married her because of an incident as children where the body’s original owner offended him by saying that he was neither male nor female and that she hated him for that. Thus creating a grudge. His fierceness scares FL and has her fearing for her life.
When she later meets the Queen again, she finds out the real reason behind her forcing FL to marry the Eunuch - to kill him. Soon, Song Zhao Rong is caught between a demanding Queen and a husband that scares the living daylight out of her.
But this Eunuch seems to come with a whole set of secrets and might not be the kind of person she thinks. Soon, the two of them are entangled and involved in a fierce power struggle and a big conspiracy.

sorry -this was really bad script and delivery-dissapointing
gosh this was banal from the beginning (1.25x speed) and painful from about halfway through (1x speed) to be insufferable toward the end (skip 10 sec skip 20 sec skip 30 sec). It still felt like self-inflicted punishment - and I stopped at least 3 times to decide if I should drop again. Decided to write a review to warn others. The script was horrendous - while the idea in general would have been great to watch - this was not. The plot was going places that hardly anybody likes going - incoherent, out of the blue and inconsistent. Both the story line and the characters. It was messy and all over the place with too many things trying to be played as important and yet losing the impact with cramming way too many things that really did not matter overall. The ending was just plain disappointing. Nothing felt like it made sense.
I like the leads as actors (I am currently finishing He Jian Qi's spree and watched probably 20 dramas with them, combined), but they did not do much here other than standard 5th grader modern woman and cold ancient man. Feel sorry for them to have to play in this monstrosity.
Don't waste your time on this unless you really like torturing yourself.
