Kumazawa Jiro is a serious civil servant working at the tax office. One day, Kumazawa falls for a clever scam planned by the genius conman Himuro Makoto and is cheated out of a large sum of money. With the help of his best friend, a detective, Kumazawa tracks down Himuro, but Himuro, who has given up, says, "I'll scam the powerful people you're chasing and collect the 1 billion yen you evaded in taxes. So let me go." Kumazawa is conflicted about not being an accomplice to a crime, but he decides to team up with Himuro for a "certain revenge" that he himself has. The two team up and gather a group of eccentric outlaws to form the Angry Squad, a group of con artists. They take on a grand tax collection mission. Fun swindler comedy
Of course nothing goes to plan and then you find out how they fix things in the wildest way possible. Reminds me very much of Confidence Man JP (another series with similar themes), but with more focus on the moral dilemmas / back stories of people who resort to committing crimes.Overall a hilarious and cathartic watch.
