strongly dislike the male lead character as written -- enough to stop watching

Normally I enjoy most food/restaurant related dramas, and from the marketing show descriptions/synopses this seems like a show I should normally like, but so far the male lead is so annoying that I'd rather see him get dropped onto a deserted island and never be heard from again than to be rehabilitated or redeemed, and the prospect of him being beaten into shape by the female lead just doesn't feel like it would be preferable to being dropped/replaced (tho none of the other characters from H-company have been any better). So far the most positive thing i can say about the male lead is that he seems less bad then the other people at his company, but so far those characters are essentially cartoonish cardboard cutouts of corrupt corporate executive villains, so it isn't saying much. The female lead is quirky and somewhat interesting tho. No hate towards the actors -- you could even make the case that inspiring this level of disgust towards the character means the actor was doing a good job -- but the writing and direction has created a character that I really can't / don't want to root for.So, stopping here for now -- maybe I'll pick it up again later if I run out of things to watch (and am feeling a lot more charitable towards the ML), but probably not (at least without an external reason for watching)
