Here comes another short format drama
A short format drama with a plot that isn't overused! The ML is Zhen Zi Qi and they actually don't dub his voice, which is super growly and yummy! FL is Jia Yi Xuan a very adorable and popular short format actress.A quick review without giving away too much. ML goes to an island that houses all the mentally ill of this society. The island has no laws and no keepers, except every resident has a bracelet for life so even if they escape somehow, they would be found out in normal society.
FL was thrown on the island once her adoptive parents no longer needed or wanted her, they adopted her to ward off evil for their natural daughter, when she grew up and wasn't needed anymore, they intended to sell her for "marriage" to an old slimey man but she fought back...hence she ended up on the island.
ML has some trauma from his "sister" who unalived herself in front of him many years ago after killing some people who abused ML and possibly her too. FL bears some resemblance to his sister, so that's why he picked her up from the island.
I don't think I've seen any other drama with a similar storyline, most of them reuse the same old plots a million times over. I liked this one for the story and for the leads. Some mild abuse in the beginning, much more mild than the sadomasochistic ones that are becoming all too common, but still not acceptable to ever put your hands around someone's throat. Other than that, a pretty decent drama and worth the watch.

This is a very nice miniseries with Zhen Zi Qi (as Li Tian Que) and Jadie Jia (as Chu Mian) in the leading couple’s role. Although it is listed as a romance drama, it is more a revenge drama with a developing romance between two wounded souls. The actors did a decent job bringing their characters to life but the romance was a slow burn one, especially from the Chu Mian toward Li Tian Que since her primary goal was to take revenge for the wrongs her family did to her. Li Tian Que gradually developed feelings for Chu Mian and was always trying to protect her. Li Tian Que, due to his traumatic past was a cruel and cold hearted person, but he starts to change as he interacts with Chu Mian. Although the drama is nice, there were too many instances of choking done and that took away from the “loving” feelings. Still, the drama is a nice watch, enjoy it! Was this review helpful to you?

Compare to all version, Chu Mian-Li Tian Que version is the best
I watch since i enjoy Jia Yixuan banter with Zhen Ziqi. Even the plot lack romance scene but the dynamic duo between was undeniably strong compare to another version (Ma Xiaoyu andd He Jianqi version lacks the dynamic duo on the adaptation).The plot is about FL who being punished by her family due her bad luck and make her other precious child luck more better and make her as crazy person for the asylum to keep her on the island. ML found FL and decided to save her despite know her identity was not simple since FL resemble her belated older sister.
Even there is tug-of-war between ML and FL i like ML still try to respect FL despite him want to kiss her so bad (in the end ML like to choking FL while FL was not afraid of everything)
Such a classic chinese short drama that decent to rewatch.
