Love Is a Poison

In both BLs, the main couple are investigating generally unsavory people together in order to collect evidence to expose them. In Doku Koi it is for criminal cases. In Ameiro it is for a gossip journal. Despite the more serious topics at times, there is still a lot of silly and light hearted moments throughout to keep the shows' tone lighter. I also feel the couple dynamics are sort of similar. Kaburagi (Ameiro) and Haruto (Doku Koi) are both familiar and more engrained in the shady side of things and use their expertise to get results. Meanwhile, Onoe (Ameiro) and Shiba (Doku Koi) are their more innocents partners who they want to protect.

Features a similar premise of an arrangement that evolves into genuine affection, with a cute and sweet story.

As far as I've watched and read in the comments, its very similair to the "love is like a poison" since they also live together spontaniously like this and it just overall seem like a funnier version of "perfect propose"

Both have leads that have traumatic past that relates to family. Both have leads that help overcome that traumatic past

Cohabitation subplot. Main leads started living together which leads to the development of their relationship.

Both series are Bls but they also cover complex human emotions. One features Punk love with a focus on showing how individuals have a great sense of identity and expression and Punk is how they present it. They are same as others and in no way bad or weird or what not. Love is a poison also has similar vibes and involves a lawyer and a criminal type of love. Very beautiful watch

Shiba Ryoma and San are both very deeply repressed. They find themselves drawn to Haruto and Vee, both of whom have a dark past, and are in denial about it until Haruto and Vee are in peril. Once Shiba Ryoma and San have gotten past the denial phase, they very quickly become loverboys who are obsessed with their partner.

An ordinary person bumps into a criminal, and they start living together. Although the plots are different, they have the same feel as they gradually begin to understand each other and become attracted to each other.

Love is Like a Poison has a similar dynamic between the leads, one is a strict character and the other is a happy-go-lucky character.

Shiba Ryoma, a brilliant lawyer and youngest co-partner at a major law firm, meets the genius con artist Haruto at a bar. Intrigued by Haruto's talent for impersonation, Shiba invites him to become his secret partner. As they work together to solve various problems, Shiba, new to romance, becomes enchanted by Haruto's sweet devotion. Despite their contrasting personalities, the two grow closer, with Haruto falling for Shiba's sensitivity and Shiba struggling with his own feelings. Eventually, they face a dangerous confrontation with great evil.

One of the characters is very friendly, and easy to read, while the other character is cold and hard to understand. Those who like these hot and cold couples might enjoy 'Takara-kun to Amagi-kun' as well.

Both have lawyer -detective leads.
In both the lawyer is a quirky charcter and the detective charcter is smooth and charming.

The difference is that in "love is a poison". The lawyer is not immediately aware of his feelings .whereas here they are already a couple from the get go

one of the main charas is a genius trickster, also, both stories are enjoyabye and related to professional work!

though jack & joker is a bit more serious with longer eps

similar vibes and angst between the couple. both are good Japanese bl with angst.
