Marquis of Haihun (2025)

A Hidden Gem!

I stumbled upon this drama and only watched it because I recognized the 1ML and knew of his good acting. I’m so happy that I watched it. It’s a different take when compared to the other time traveling dramas and it’s so refreshing and funny. In short, if you’re on the fence, go ahead and watch it. It’s worth your time.

There is a S2 that is already out. When I wrote this review, for some weird reason, MDL hasn’t added S2 yet. However it’s already aired and I’m on the last few episodes.

Finished S2 and I enjoyed it too.

WORTH YOUR TIME

i started watching this drama with low expectation, especially with the female leads. turn out i quite enjoy the show.
- the story is light, yet it's engaging.
- no draggy and unneccessary dialogs/monologs.
- mao zhi jun's acting is good. i notice the age gap with the king but they give awesome chemistry.
- sansan/the female warrior, i didnt expect to like her in this drama. at first i was thinking she doesnt have the fl material, but i was wrong. she's good. i like her character in this drama.

overall this drama is worth your time.
