This drama is not for everyone! The female lead, Su Xiang (played by Chai Hui Xin),Is a wife that has spent three years of her life at home without being properly introduced to society because she's mute. For most of the drama the Male lead, Fu Han Chuan (played by Shu Tong), keeps hurting her and denying his feelings for her in front of friends and family, but will not give her a divorce because . without letting anyone know, he has fallen in love with his wife. The problem is that his actions toward her can be taken as a good example of: There are loves that kill. He is steadfast on his feelings for her and rejects other "better" women's advances and protects his wife from others' wrongdoings, he is overly passionate about her but, without acknowledging his feelings, his passion is emotionally overwhelming for her. Still best mute character in duanju all the time
I was watching this when i discovered Chai Huixin was the main lead for two years ago. Personally i like Shu Tong drama but some of his FL were not really my cup of tea until Chai Chai.Plot is about FL was framed by her uncle and forced into marriage with the ML. Because she's mute, her family dislikes her. ML, for the same reason, also treats her poorly even he secretly loves her. ML was never want to learn to communicate with FL since she is mute and sometimes there is miscommunication since FL is mute and people never want to communicate properly with her. ML was not really red flag guy he just never adapted over someone with difficult communication and slowly he learns how to get communicate with her.
The main conflicts are from the couple's lack of communication and family opposition. Their two-year-old son is also incredibly cute and his interaction with couple felt so natural. It seems like a typical drama about a young couple managing their family life.
Shu Tong's acting is superb, and Chai Chai's performance is also excellent. Although she's mute, she's incredibly spirited, cute, and full of life.
I quite like SML even He approaches the FL with ulterior motives since he is competing with ML for inheritance, but he's not bad; he doesn't harm her but indirectly helps her gaining confidence about herself. Their platonic relationship was really rare to see.
The cons are this is obviously on-budget drama which the styling are quite hard to see (for example FL's frizzy hair and ML unkempt clothes) also the plot was rushed; many things weren't explained clearly and were left unresolved especially on the last minutes. but this drama still deserve to rewatch.

Realistic yet complicated at the same time
Sometimes i annoyed at how Chinese drama think all people can communicating with mute people but this drama is one of wonder on how people around FL who being mute until the end (ML mother with her view toward mute people & ML knows sign language but didn't make effort about communicating with FL and its the root of cause of their problem). SML is actually being nice friends despite his opportunist person (he even create deaf friendly app too). There is plot hole about how ML didn't keep his promise about going holiday together and how FL are going to mountain. And they used real baby who only giggles and being mischievous rather than being genius.Its quite frustrating plot yet realistic about and not for everyone.
