too many characters/love rivals - also deja vu???
Overall: though I was excited for a gangster romance, this vertical mini series was a let-down. Originally watched unsubbed on ShortMax (also has Kiss Me With Unspoken Love and My Uncle, My Ex-Boyfriend). 70 episodes under 2 minutes each. Watched May 2025 on Shortime episodes 1-10 free to watch on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RTFqKh1zTrY Upon re-watch, I realized it has several plot similarities to KinnPorsche to the point that if someone had said it was a Korean adaptation, I would have believed them.Content Warnings: murder/death, blood, sexual assault, non con kiss, beaten up/violence, non con picture taking, blackmail?, past murders, rape?, kidnapping/held against will, torture, victim blaming, manipulation

Gangster whaaat?
It seems to be the mo to produce super short shorts with very little if any cohesiveness at all. Don't get me wrong, the story is good, the production is terrible. Added to this, the 2min, vertical viewing is a big deterrent. Then throw in one of the worst translated series. What do you get..... disappointment.Plot:
Gangster meets idol trying to get away from someone trying to kill him. Upon meeting, he's attracted to him. He offers him money to be with him for 3 months. Yada yada yada, they fall in love. Now throw in a harem of guys willing to serve the Gangster. The idol getting drunk an passing out numerous times. The gangster's brother and father continuously at odds with him. An ex lover trying to kill him.
Instead of 70 × 2-min episodes, why not make a full length movie. The storyline is good. The acting meh. The production cheap. Jarring choppy scenes. If 10% of the translation could be believed, script needs major rewrite. Attraction between the mains, believable. There was just too much wrong for this to be salvaged. Had potential but was lost.

This is literally a low budget korean remake of KINN PORSCHE series in short🤦🤦🤦🤦. I cant believe they did this. Atleast it would have been nice if they remaked with good actors and budget. It literally disappointed me as i came here as this is gangster genre but sadly jot good. Atleast one ML is good but another not even acting. The plot is stolen
I just watched Kinntwingo or better to say Kinncarwithoutlicense.Like some scene are really "copy and paste" with no shame at all.
It's the same story but without the budget, I didn't know someone would have the balls to plagiarize this much Kinnporsche.
BUT the gangster is so freaking handsome oh my god I don't remember the acting that much I think it wasn't really good but anyway this guy is truly handsome.

Gangster like me should have stayed single
Yeah so I have been really into these shorts recently and I don't really know why, they are just really fun to watch. I haven't watched a Korean drama let alone a Korean bl in a long ass time, so it was fun. I did not know they had these on my drama list so here I am. Anyone who said this was like Kinnporsche watched that show with they damn eyes closed because it was not at all. I give it a 5/10, it was ass.Yeah, so I will go down my list of shit and end this review before it is longer than the actual show lmao. Yeah, what I liked. I think the characters were fun and the acting. It wasn't the best but I did like it. I liked Jaemins character and I wish they did more with him because he was a fun character. Keeho I think his name was and I am not going to check because I dont care. He was my favorite character because he looked so concerned most of the time and that was so me. And that is about all I liked lmao. AND JAEHO SHIRTLESS. That was the best part of the whole show, everything else was god-awful and made me feel like I was the crazy bitch. Which I probably am.
What I didnt like. All of it. It was shit and my standards are really low for these shows and it didn't even reach my standards. The plot was really confusing and hard to follow. It was doing good and then they would fuck it up, which was annoying. It felt like they cut most of the plot out and tried to stick that shit together. It just felt very choppy. Also, there were so many random fucking characters that they introduced and tried to convince us that they have been there the whole time and it just didnt work, because i am like who the fuck is even that dont play with me. What else, yeah. It started pretty good and then fell off so fucking fast and i dont even know how. But CHEEKS. ASS FUCKING CHEEKS. Yeah, the plot, random characters, and Keeho getting drugged literally 7 times no joke, got old really fast. And im like bring in another mother fucking storyline. Also these bitches had no fucking chemistry. Like watching two brick walls kiss holy fuck. Which is one of my biggest pet peeves when watching these. They didnt not want to be here.
Dont waste your time on this shit. 5/10. Okay bye!

ok story
The story itself is good but it was terribly executed and the acting sub par. Who is doing the editing??? the transitions are just disrespectful! It feels like part of the story was just cut, no continuity from last episode. if you were part of the directing team and reading this comment; please consider remaking this because this is a good plot and we are dying to watch a good mafia/gangsta movie. oh and That son fighting with his brother and his father for no reason does not add any value to the plot.Was this review helpful to you?

Yes I could rate this series way lower than 6 because it is pretty bad but honestly I don't really rate below 6 unless its like HORRIBLE and this had its potential but they executed it poorly, I couldn't finish it for the life of me, I had to have the patience of a good mother dealing with its child. And the fact I watched it on Shortime so I had to wait everyday to get my free rewards just to watch 10-13 episodes, hell no! I rather spend my time elsewhere cause I ain't spending money on this either. But yes its bad and its poorly made, the pacing is bad and every episode feels like I missed 2 hours worth of story because they start completely different from where they left off, chemistry is ass, and I agree when people said this was like KinnPorsche but if you smoked weed and then did crack while also being drunk. It's really not worth sitting there for 1 hour and 10 min or even worse waiting days to watch it for free on Shortime. Save your time and watch something else.Was this review helpful to you?
Would have made a pretty decent series
This "show" about a gangster (although tbh I would've thought he just worked at a slightly dodgy company had it not been for the title) hires a down on his luck idol (again, barely mentioned) to be his secretary/love interest for three months. Cue attempts on people's lives, an angry brother, and a super hot ex-boyfriend and you get a sort of very paired down Korean Kinn Porsche.The acting is fair and the story is actually quite good, expecially the ending, but with 70 eps at around 1 minute each, it just feels like someone's taken clips from a full length series and stuck them together. I watched it as one film on Daily Motion (I'm sure other legal avenues are available) with pretty poor subs, plus you have to watch it on a phone due to the way its been filmed, but I still watched it quite happily.
I've read a few reviews that say there are too many characters and the story is complicated. There really aren't and it really isn't. It actually would have made a pretty good series as needless to say, a lot of back story and info is left out which makes the MC's relationship feel a bit rushed. But saying that, there's actually a fair amount of plot and maybe the how's and why's aren't that important in the grand scheme of things.
There are a couple of OK kissing scenes, and the gangster and his ex are super fine. Not the worst way to spend 70 minutes of your life.
