Decent ending

Bro gyeongnam at the start felt weirded about the whole bf on demand thing and felt kinda “cheated” on and it was bare awkward w with mirae at work, and she even got hurt whilst trying to break off a fight between yunsong and byeonghak, so he cleaned her wound for her BUT IT WAS STILL AWKWARD LIKE BRO. But then they become besties again and resolve it since gyeongnam and hwanny were having a convo about it without telling hwanny who “it” specifically was about, just asked it like an if question. (If soyeong’s yeongil looked like you what would u do? Is what he asked so he could get an idea of what hwanny thought on this sort of matter) and hwanny said that it was a win for her ideal man to look like him but he would be better since the ai character would give artificiall love not real love. So that made gyeongnam run to mirae, find her and hug her, and says he still wants to be with mirae, to which mirae agrees. And after they fix up their issues and call it a day e.g about her worrying they might not work out but then gyeongnam admits he’s falling for her day by day. But yeah very coolio. YK DONGMIN WALKED INTO THEM TWO BEING INTIMATE SO MIRAE PUSHED GYEONGNAM OFF HER ONLY FOR HIM TO STUMBLE AND PULL AT A SHELF THAT FALLS ON TOP OF HIM AND BREAKS HIS ARM. DONGMIN GOES WITH MIRAE AND NOTICES HOW INTIMATE THEY SRE CLOCKS THEYRE DATING AND AT THE DIRECTOR’S LEAVING PARTY, ITS REVEALED DONGMIN TOLD THE DIRECTOR (SNAKEEE U BUM DONGMIN) THAT MIRAE AND GYEONGNAM WERE DATING BUT NOBODY BELIEVED THEM SINCE BEFORE THEY HATED THEIR GUTS AND IT MADE ME GIGGLE EVEN MORE.it was an alright kdrama but it was a little too cringy and for me the plot was slight dead was a sprinkle of cliché maybe because it’s a romance and I consider MOST not ALL, MOST romances cliché.

Three Stars

It's understandable that Kyeong Nam was taken aback. I just wish she had just told him. I like that he finally realized it really wasn't a big deal that her ult fantasy guy looked like him. I did like that they talked about the Boyfriend on Demand VR game and that Mi Rae ended it and clsoed her account. The ending was a littled rushed but I enjoyed it.

A Decent yet somewhat incomplete Ending.

I was satisfied with the ending but I would not say I was extremely happy with the ending.

I will be honest, I felt something was missing.

The chemistry was good, the story had huge potential. Detail review will be written separately.

When the Artificial Lover Feels Realer Than the Man Beside Her.

To begin with, let’s be completely honest: nearly half of the series is devoted to the concept of virtual boyfriends. While this focus is understandable—after all, it forms the core premise of the drama—the distribution of attention sometimes feels uneven. In particular, Seo Eun-ho, portrayed by Seo Kang-jun, receives a noticeably larger share of screen time than the other virtual boyfriends. While his presence is engaging, the amount of emphasis placed on his character occasionally feels excessive. In contrast, the other virtual boyfriend cameos are brief yet effective, appearing just long enough to serve their narrative purpose without disrupting the pacing.Turning to the central characters, Seo Mi-rae is played by Jisoo, while Seo In-guk takes on the challenging task of portraying two roles: Park Gyeong-nam and the customizable virtual boyfriend, Koo Yeong-il. Overall, the acting performances can best be described as competent. When I say “competent,” I mean precisely that—the performances are solid and serviceable, though not necessarily extraordinary.Seo In-guk’s acting, however, remains one of the more dependable aspects of the series. In his previous works, his performances have consistently stood out to me, and he continues that standard here. Playing two characters within the same narrative requires subtle differentiation, and he manages to create distinct identities for both Gyeong-nam and Yeong-il. While the script occasionally limits how much depth either role can explore, his performance still brings a level of stability and professionalism to the drama.Jisoo, meanwhile, often receives criticism regarding her acting abilities. Personally, I find much of that criticism somewhat unfair. In this series, she performs well within the scope of the character she is given. She delivers her lines convincingly and manages the emotional beats of the story with reasonable effectiveness. Additionally, her past work demonstrates that she is capable of stronger performances when given the right material. Her role in Snowdrop, for instance, showed that she can handle emotionally demanding scenes quite well. For that reason, I believe she did a commendable job here, even if the writing did not always provide opportunities for greater complexity. One narrative element that felt somewhat strange was the concept behind Yeong-il’s appearance. The idea that a customizable virtual boyfriend would have the exact same face as a real person—and that this coincidence would occur purely by chance—feels rather unusual. Admittedly, this plot device eventually becomes the central conflict of the story, so it cannot be dismissed as unnecessary. Nevertheless, it simply stands out as a somewhat unconventional choice within the framework of a romantic comedy. When it comes to romantic chemistry and tension, the dynamics between the characters vary considerably. For much of the series, the chemistry between Mi-rae and Gyeong-nam feels rather subdued. The emotional spark expected from a primary romantic pairing is largely missing. However, there is one notable exception: the scene leading up to their first kiss. That particular sequence stands out as one of the strongest moments in the drama. The tension, the subtle acting choices, the careful placement of hands, and the palpable sense of longing all combine to create a remarkably intense and memorable moment.Interestingly, the chemistry between Mi-rae and Yeong-il feels far more natural and engaging. It is quite fascinating to observe how two characters portrayed by the same actor can produce such different dynamics with the same female lead. While the connection between Mi-rae and Gyeong-nam struggles to fully resonate, her interactions with Yeong-il carry a surprising amount of charm and emotional spark.Overall, the drama succeeds as an enjoyable romantic comedy. It may not be exceptional or groundbreaking, but it manages to deliver an entertaining viewing experience. The premise is intriguing, the performances are respectable, and certain scenes leave a lasting impression despite the show’s inconsistencies. That said, the series suffers from a relatively low rewatch value. Once the novelty of the storyline fades, there is little incentive to revisit it—unless one simply wants a light and easy rom-com to pass the time.

A bit of a letdown but still very good! Finishing well but I would have preferred a warmer ending. Jisoo looks so cute here and I am happy that they made up!

Five Stars

The perfect way to end it. I’m glad they didn't just make everything magically perfect. Seeing them try to date for real with all the awkwardness and work stress was the best part. It left me feeling really happy and satisfied with how everyone ended up. Definitely a 10/10 binge. I hope they've plans for season 2 too

RomCom Drama Jisooyah

I was really hoping to see Jisoo in this kind of genre. I’ve already finished watching all ten episodes, and I truly loved it. I don’t understand the unnecessary hate toward Jisoo’s acting. I’m not sure why some people criticize her or how exactly they expect her to act. For me, her performance feels very natural. I also want to commend her visuals in this series - she looks incredibly beautiful. Seo In Guk and Jisoo definitely have great chemistry, and I also hope she gets to work in a series with Seo Eun Ho in the future.
