Underwhelming Finished Product
This could have been complete mess , had it not been for music as well as for acting by few cast members.Not going to lie, the story had potential. The first 3 episodes were great. Episode 4 was a turning point. From there onwards it was downhill. Still they tried to recover little bit in last two episodes, but that recovering would only positioned this drama to average.
This drama should either have been 12 or 16 episodes drama. It had such potential, but they ruined. Because of poor writing, even 8 episodes felt longer.
I really feel for Kang Min-ah. I have been supporting her since her Ateen-2 days. Loved her in True Beauty as well as in At a distance, spring is green (Another highly underappreciated drama). Loved her comic timing in Gauss Electronics, and loved her villain potential in bloodhounds 2. So I was really looking forward to her Kdrama as a lead again, but sad to say that the drama was a let-down for me.

An epic which has lots of goods and a few misses.
Just completed watching Pursuit of Jade for the very first time in 4 days already. This drama had incredible start , like the first 16 to 18 episodes were superior. Then 19 to 32 were great but not excellent. Then the last 7 to 8 episodes led somewhere between good and average.The post credit scene in the finale was totally unnecessary.
Overall a good show. I already liked Zhang Ling He from The Best Thing and Tian Xi Wei from the Genius Girlfriend, but now I am more in love with both of them.
The most stupid and annoying character arc was of QianQian. The best story/romance for me was between Princess and Military Advisor.
This was my first Chinese Historic (Fiction/Non-Fiction) Drama. Maybe I will give chance to other historic dramas like Love in the Galaxy, The Double, Blossom and many more, These were in my watchlist for so long, perhaps now I can consider these after watching Pursuit of Jade.
Excellent story, screenplay was not great but was not bad either, music was good and acting was top notch.

Generic contract romance genre with rushed ending
This is your generic romantic drama with contractual romance genre. Could have been a better drama if not for rushed ending.FL is a great actress. ML does good job too. The supporting actors role should have been meatier.
The Child actor is good and has huge potential going further.
Music is okayish and the biggest flaw of this drama is screenplay and editing choices.
Overall a good drama to pass your time.

Its Decent Watch.
As mentioned before in my each episode reviews, this drama had huge potential.But nonetheless, there are few places the drama shines and few where it falters.
But the question is, should I skip it or stream it? Well, I would suggest you to give it a try and watch it. You will appreciate the potential of the story. You will be impressed by Jisoo's chemistry with someone else more than the ML. Won't spoil you but give it a try.
Now after watching the finale, I felt that there were few unresolved things which were left out, hence I was feeling somewhat incomplete after watching it.
Still, if you have time, give this drama a shot.
