Jack and joker
After love Mechanics i've been wanting to see more of them. Their chemisty is great. Jack and Joker didn't dissapoint me with their chemistry. Loved how their love story progressed from betrayal to hatred to love. There were some funny scenes, romance and action most important this series has zero cringe scenes. So i recommed to watch it.Was this review helpful to you?
They stole my heart; why does it have to be them again?
This self-produced labour of work is a story of two possibly fated lovers: Jack, who righteously cares for those around him and does not choose the easy way out because he's seen how things can go from good to bad to worse when dishonest measures are used, and Joke, who intensely cares for the good and warm-hearted and would do anything to make sure his loved ones are free. The show does a decent job of reflecting the issues faced by the working class, the depths to which one can sink when choosing illegal measures (eg, collecting debts from loan sharks or straight up robbery) and what the repercussions of such methods can be. It does not shy away from being honest, although sometimes, it could do with a little more grit and passion. There were times that I felt that the heist scenes could have been more...professional, or at least a little less leaning on luck. But in the end, it makes sense that the heists are the way it's shown since the characters involved are not people with abundant cash flow or connections and it helps to show how impulsive one can be when in a stressful situation.
So ultimately, it does not take away from the messaging and the romance.
Speaking of romance, since it's a slow burn, we can see Jack & Joke having these little moments of falling in love sprinkled throughout the show. Yin and War have done a fantastic job at speaking through their eyes with each other and their chemistry keeps you hooked.
The show is also a good reflection of flawed yet tight friendships. Hoy, Tattoo and Aran are funny, sweet and deserving of all the love in the world. Bonz and Prom have excellent comic timing and Mark is such a cutie, after a few episodes, I really wanted to keep him in my pocket.
A hero is only as good as the villain and honestly, the villains here will make you want to go across your screen and finish them. Boss and Carbon are so easy to hate and they must be applauded for it.
A special shoutout to Grandma, Toi Ting and Rose, these three girls stole hearts so easily. They were the consciousness of the show in a way and it made for a pleasant watch.
The music, cinematography and direction of the show are well done. I want to applaud the action scenes, they were so well executed and it kept the balance between pure action and comedy.
The writing shows the characters, especially J&J, being fairly opposites but still fitting together perfectly. If one is logical, the other is impulsive; but when they team up, they can do wonders. And why do they team up? Because at their cores, they both have an extreme sense of justice and want to make the world a better place for the people they love.
All in all, I'm proud of YWPB for venturing into producing something that would push the boundaries of romantic shows and doing it quite well.
So should you watch this show? YES, a thousand times yes. It is one that you won't regret.
(Same review posted in the regular ver of J&J page)

SAD THAT IT ENDED T~T
Why.... why did it have to end?? I wish I could continue to see there life together..... *sniff sniff*I do have to say that some scenes were kind of goofy which was actually nice because it made the series less dramatic and intense.
The only fight scenes that were actually good in my opinion were the ones with War and Yin, the other ones were a little silly.
I loved the build up for the romance between Jack and Joker! The tension, the hidden feelings that were about to explode, the moments where they felt like it was just the two of them against the world? AHHHH, yes please!!!! They are just so hot together lol.
No matter what, Jack will always forgive Joker and Joker will always try to make it up to Jack. They fight for each other and they love each other very dearly. Where can I find that?? T~T
Also, can I get a different series where Prom and Mark get together??? I saw their small interaction in Love Mechanics and I think I saw a little something between them even though Mark was only on screen for 7 seconds lol.
Anyway.... LOVED Jack&Joker!! MASTERPIECE >~<

Yinwar never disappoints, both of them are such great actors, their chemistry is top notch , they carry out each roles so effortlessly. Each and every character of J & J did a really great job!! Jack & joker deserves the best BL of the year.

THIS DRAMA IS GOLDDDD
Guys if you haven't watched it yet... GO AND DO IT RIGHT NOWWWWWW!!!the slowburn is slowburning but it's SO worth it. this bl literally changed me like nothing else and now i have an unhealthy obsession with yinwar (but i'm not complaining tho, they're so fire) 🔥🔥🔥
first of all the story is so so engrossing. not only is the romantic part AMAZING and dare i say - very fresh in the bl industry, but also the overall story brings your attention and makes you keep wanting more. i love joke's different images, the characters' character development - everything is perfect! of course some things could've been done better, but judging by the fact that they had only 12 episodes and the story was intense, i still think they did an excellent job. in my opinion it's something extremely fresh and exciting in the bl industry - not serving everything in the first ep. you need to wait for it and go through the tension building up between the main characters. i can say i totally fell in love with jack and joker and i haven't been so invested into a bl probably since i had watched kinnporsche.

Got me in the first half but didn't live up to the hype.
Believe me when I say that I had been waiting for this one so bad! I am always up for Action/Romance BL genre. But this one literally had max action, min romance. The romance literally felt like side quests. Within all the 12 episodes, I bet if we had a cut for just the romance of the main couple it wouldn't be more than 30 minutes or even less. Now about the plot, I had high expectations. I was hooked till ep 6, but then it started to deteoriate. All the heists just seemed more and more predictable. I had great expectations from the character Nang. Really thought she could be some kind of evil mastermind, but no. She suddenly turned good once she or her post was in danger like??? Also the whole plot about the ring seemed so forced kinda like something abrupt. The suspense was not giving. The twists in this plot were just not twist-ing. The plot seemed so dragged with the Rosé plot, the games, the thefts, etc.
Also, the dad just neglecting Joke and then ignoring his existence, but then suddenly becoming good didn't make much sense. He could have gotten Joke the necessary help he needed instead of blaming him for everything.
While the plot had many holes, there take on showing how the rich undermine the lives of the poor people and debtors to a game, playing with their lives and hard earned money was good, just the execution at the end was not upto the par. Had this drama been a little bit darker instead of comedy(barring the action) maybe I could have taken this more seriously.
The character Jack specifically got on my nerves. Bro was so gulliable and naive like seriously! Every truth is laid in front of him and he just ignores it. Bro didn't even stop to think that his Grandma fell ill after right after taking the medicine Boss gave them, like please use your braincells!!!!
War🙌🏻 hands down the best part of this series. He himself makes up all the 8 stars in acting. The way he captures all the freaking emotions so effortlessly. He got me hooked. His visuals are no joke and he somehow made even the goofiest of disguises look darn good. His acting is top notch and I hope he gets better scripts in the future. (Where War's character finally doesn't cry over Yin's character💀)
Can we talk about the Aran/Tattoo ship. They teased us so much and gave us almost nothing!!! Literally nothing! Also the chatacter Tattoo, they could have done more with him. I mean damn you have a scientist in your team, use him properly!
Overall, I was lowkey expecting something like the Manner of Death series, but really it was my fault for expecting too much. This drama was more action/comedy and maybe a little romance whenever they felt like it. Toi Ting and Grandma were the real mvp.

This Show Gave Me Whiplash
This was the first series I've watched with these actors so I viewed it without the bias of being a fan of any of them.Things this show did well:
Casting - Everyone really brought their characters to life and did well with what they were given. The leads had great chemistry. Grandma's actress really tied the whole show together with her charm and acceptance. Toi Ting's actress was cute without being annoying. The actors playing the friends were quirky and interesting even if the characters they portrayed didn't have much growth. I do have to call out the surgeon with shaky hands, though.
Acting: There were really great performances. It wasn't always great across the board, but I'd say on the whole that it was acted well.
Settings, Costuming, and Makeup: I thought the settings and costuming really added to the show. Not just Joke's costumes but also the costumes for the other characters. I felt like each character really would wear what they wore in their various scenes. I also liked that the actors weren't caked in makeup and looked more natural, unless it made sense for the character to be wearing makeup. Jack's home was really inviting and warm and contrasted well with the more posh locations.
Heart: The time, energy, effort, and heart that went into making this show really does come through. It's obvious that everyone gave it their all to bring this story to life. This isn't a show with more simple production like one with a uni/school/office setting. It is ambitious with many complicated scenes.
Things that didn't work for me:
Logic/Reason - It pretty much doesn't exist. Why did this thing happen? How did that thing happen? Where did the resources come from for that thing? How does the timeline line up properly? Don't worry about it and just believe that it did. Joke got hired as a makeup artist for a wealthy client who then happily showed this stranger daddy's secret treasure room? Believe. Characters ended up relocated out of town with little time or resources to get them there? Totally happened. These guys had the resources to make cool stuff when it's established everyone is poor and in debt? Believe. The whole scene in the bank? Just trust. Joke totally just got lucky enough to find the camera that Tattoo threw on the ground without his knowledge while he was hiding in the cooler? Sure thing buddy. It continues through the entire series. Shows with elaborate schemes and heists are so much more enjoyable when they make somewhat logical sense.
Lack of editing - Ever read a really long fan fiction and start feeling like the author needs an editor to reign them in and tighten up the story? That's what this show began to feel like after a while. There were episodes that were movie length and could have definitely used some editing. The entire show is nearly 15 hours long and could have been trimmed to make it more concise and impactful. I'd start by trimming the fight scenes. There were way too many, they went on for too long, and they were so unrealistic you'd think the characters had super powers with the kinds of beatings they took and just kept going.
Identity - This show couldn't decide what it wanted to be. Comedy? Action? Heist show with a clever mastermind? Romance? Social commentary? Heartwarming family drama? It tried to be all the things, and as another reviewer said, all the tone shifts didn't work. Yes of course, shows can blend multiple genres together, but there wasn't good blending. There were some pretty brutal and dark scenes in this show that came without warning. The comedy was also not the kind of comedy I find funny.
Continuity - My brain gets hung up on continuity errors and won't let go, so the scene where Jack is cleaning the Joker Thief symbol off the garage wall really stuck with me. There were other places where continuity was lacking, but that one was the most egregious.

masterpiece
Genuinely one of the best BLs I have ever watched in my 9 years of watching BL. One of my favourite shows of all time. I even got 2 tattoos to commemorate it. Yin and War are geniuses, and should be given creative freedom always. I trust them with my life. Gorgeous shots, beautiful tension, and amazing chemistry. I would recommend this show to even a non BL watcher, just because of how amazing it is. I am truly excited to see what comes next.I really hope there's a season 2 or extended special. The special ep left me broken but I loved it.
Phenomenal show.

All that potential... for what?
Honestly, by episode 10 I started to get really tired of the plot and inconsistencies. Plus editing made keeping track of time so confusing.. For example, in one episode, Hope got beat up by Boss during the day, then we cut to Joke buying Jack a building, helping him repay his debt, and doing all this other stuff that seems like it would take more than one day to do, but then we cut back to Hope at night time still recovering from being beat up?If it weren't for the chemistry of the main leads and sweetness of the found family with the little girl and grandma, I would have nothing to hold onto... Skipped episode 11 completely because I didn't care about the 5th misunderstanding plot line that could've been solved with a mature conversation. They all promised to communicate and not lie, so I started to get annoyed when they refused to use any common sense and communicate.
Tbh I think the issue is they try to squeeze too much in the plot. It's not that we're pressed for time (12 episodes, all 1 hour each).. it's that this show wants to be so much at once. It wants to be a heist movie, it wants to be a crime thriller, it wants to be a comedy, it wants to have a forced marriage plot, it wants to have redemption arcs for all these minor characters, it wants sooo much.. And it could have successfully done most of these things tbh if they dropped some irrelevant plotlines or side characters and added real consequences for evil actions that make sense. I don't think Save, Hope, Tattoo, AND DEFINITELY NOT ARUN (wow he had not a single consequence besides being cut off from Daddy's money) had what you would call a satisfying redemption.. The only redemption arc I enjoyed was the Coach minor character because bro genuinely apologized without expecting forgiveness in return and he faced his comeuppance with humility.
TL;DR The story has 12 1 hour episodes, but wastes our time yanking us back and forth between unbelievable character and story arcs after enticing us with all the potential it had in the first few episodes. It's a catfish! Held together by a hot main couple (YinWar carried this show fr) with good chemistry and a cute found family.

I would be all over Jack if I was in this show
This was such a fun watch! I looked forward to watching the new episode every week! I loved the characters, the story, and especially the chemistry between Jack and Joke!! I loved Jack and Joke so much, but I really was smitten for Jack. I loved his character so much and his family. Tattoo stayed pissing me off. The only scenes I liked of his were his scenes with Aran. I wish we got more of those two together. Hope, Save, and the Boss were great villains though because I hated them the entire series. Was this review helpful to you?
Not what I expected but still good
I enjoyed it a lot and thought the acting was stellar as ususual. War always hits it out of the park. Action was pretty solid, the ending was exciting, and YinWar still have crazy good chemistry… when it’s being utilized. But idk I didn’t have any strong feelings about it, as much as I thought I would? Like the emotional beats didn’t hit hard enough to cry, and the funny beats didn’t hit hard enough for me to laugh.
Also, lowkey false advertisement from their promos. I recall them pitching this as like a grand heist, partners in crime kinda deal, sort of disappointed it didn’t go in that direction. The heists were more… small scale in this lol. More like hijinks than heist imo.
Logic is also lacking in many areas lol. Like there were several times where I was like, “huh?” With how characters responded to things. Like, y’all may be a little dim but whatever.
Anyway, I do recommend.

Jack and Joker- A Masterpiece That Redefines Thai Series – A Must-Watch
If someone ever asks me for a Thai series recommendation, Jack and Joker will 100% be my first pick! From start to finish, it’s honestly a masterpiece. The cast, the story, the acting, the visuals—everything just came together perfectly. It’s not just good; it’s hands down one of the best Thai series I’ve ever watched, and it’s comfortably sitting in my top favorites.Massive shoutout to Tee Bundit Sintanaparadee, the genius director behind this gem. The way he planned and executed every single scene was just brilliant. The storytelling was smooth, the pacing was perfect, and there wasn’t a single moment where I thought, “Ugh, maybe I’ll skip this.” Nope, this series had me hooked every second, and I loved every bit of it.
And oh my god, the cast and production team—y’all are amazing! The actors nailed their roles so well; they made me feel every single emotion like I was right there with them. And the production team? Wow. The effort they put into making every scene look so stunning and setting the perfect vibe was incredible. You can just tell how much love and hard work went into this.
Jack and Joker has literally everything you could ever want—drama, emotions, insane performances, and visuals that will stay in your mind forever. This series is honestly in a league of its own. If you haven’t seen it yet, you’re seriously missing out. It’s that good!
