So much character development and loved seeing the interactions. It had some expected, yet unexpected twists, and nostalgic to why we do our passions.

I've talked about how i never really care about the politics of historical dramas because it's just a bunch of conspiracies & coups but jang chun saeng was extremely enjoyable. he is somepony directly effected by how the ruling class conducts themselves & casts people out. he was an enjoyable character & i felt like he could've been the perfect opportunity for the king to grow or something but he doesn't really. cook yeon is the one to instill the message for him which just has me like ' ' eh ' '. it is kind've annoying to see cook yeon to spend so long lamenting over the pressuer cooker's lid like her friends are not currently risking their lives right now. she should look back at it but her lack of awareness bothered me so bad this episode.

Enjoyed this and I loved the excursion out of the palace. Like someone else said I could care less about the palace politics. I’m here for the food and the flirting!

i really liked the group, pity this didn't turn into a quest where the 4 just went on a long journey until the end. all the palace intrigue is so tiring & even depressing to watch. until this ep i felt really bad for Man Su [8th rank senior cook], yeah he was Mok Ju "rat" & would constantly do her bidding - BUT when push came to shove she did't stand by him & she wont in the future. so i get that he is powerless & can't refuse or evade her orders. but his going after poor sweet innocent Gil Geum - really pissed me off. like WTF dude why target her (yeah i know he thinks if she leaves it will hurt Ji Yeong) & yet Gil Geum lack power & is so innocent she can't hurt a fly - so i am pissed ugh.

the first pressure cooker. Inventors are often different sorts of people and this one certainly is different. i wonder if he will beable. the antics are amusing.

The whole episode was a pressure cooker to see if they could survive. Thevisit with the excentric inventor was hilarious, especially the puffed rice bit.
