? TWO HIDDEN BOSSES WHO REFUSE TO BELIEVE EACH OTHER

OVERALL IMPRESSION🌟
This was an outrageously unrealistic hidden-identity romance that somehow became refreshing through its unexpected comedy and the leads’ wonderful chemistry. The script repeatedly wandered into complete nonsense, but Xian Jia Chen and Ge Xiao Xi embraced the absurdity so naturally that I watched it with great pleasure.

WHAT I LIKED💖
• I loved that both leads repeatedly told each other they were not poor—yet neither believed the other! Their secret attempts to provide food and necessities created sweet comedy while showing that they cared without knowing the other’s wealth.
• Their acceptance of one another gave the romance real value. Each believed the other had very little, but still admired kindness, intelligence and ability rather than status.
• The contrast with the ex and his girlfriend was deliciously ironic. Once they lost their money, they immediately considered each other worthless and abandoned the relationship.
• The leads were both secretly powerful, creating an exceptionally formidable couple rather than another romance where one helpless partner constantly needed rescuing.
• I enjoyed learning that the ML was also the person who had originally saved the FL. She had spent years repaying the wrong man, while her genuine benefactor entered her life through an impulsive marriage.
• The comedy was completely unpredictable: magic mushrooms, dancing models, men pretending to worship a chair, an Oompa-Loompa-sized Tarzan receiving two black eyes and even a fishing scene with unexpected *Titanic* energy!
• Xian Jia Chen and Ge Xiao Xi were perfectly matched. Their mutual love, trust and support made the relationship sweet, while their chemistry carried even the most ridiculous scenes.

WHAT I DISLIKED⚠️
• The ongoing arguments, public humiliations and verbal sparring became repetitive and noisy. Several discussions could have been considerably shorter.
• The later storyline became outrageously dark, particularly a plot involving a son poisoning his mother for insurance money. It felt disturbing and strangely disconnected from the lighthearted romance.
• The ease with which customers could be drugged in a public establishment was both alarming and absurd.
• This drama required an enormous suspension of disbelief. Viewers wanting realism or subtle storytelling may struggle with it.

PRODUCTION AND PERFORMANCES🎭
• For a lower-budget short drama, the leads pulled plenty of rabbits out of the hat. They moved between comedy, romance, action and seriousness effortlessly.
• Xian Jia Chen’s relaxed charisma and delightfully unusual ML personality added humour without making him appear foolish.
• Ge Xiao Xi’s light comedic performance balanced him beautifully. Their chemistry was the drama’s greatest strength and proved how strongly casting can determine whether an outrageous story succeeds.
• The screenwriter found creative humour within an overused trope, while the direction kept the absurd moments lively and entertaining.

FINAL THOUGHTS💭
This was never the drama I expected it to become—and usually in the best possible way! It offered a sweet and supportive romance between two capable people, plenty of face-slapping, bizarre comedy and almost no reliance on the usual violent or aphrodisiac-driven romantic clichés. The script was loud, unrealistic and occasionally tiresome, but the leads transformed it into something charming. If you enjoy Secretly Powerful Couples, Double Hidden Identities, Revenge and unapologetically ridiculous comedy, this is well worth watching.
