Fifteen Minutes Is Never Enough!

I won't pretend I don't understand the appeal of this season's premise. K-pop trainees competing against each other while developing feelings for one another — that's a setup designed to pull in exactly the audience that's spent years shipping their favorite idols and wondering what really happens behind the cameras. I'm not deeply embedded in K-pop culture myself, but even I haven't been immune to the WooSan ship. I get the appeal.

And Love Class 3 taps into something genuinely interesting — especially through Kim Hyeon Jae and Yun Su An.

Their relationship is easily the strongest part of the series because it explores the blurred line between genuine affection and fanservice. Yun Su An constantly questions whether any of what they shared was ever real or simply part of being idols. That uncertainty gives their reunion emotional weight, and the reveal that Kim Hyeon Jae never actually received his message completely reframes what looked like abandonment into a tragedy built on miscommunication. That slow dance between mistrust, longing and undeniable attraction is where the series feels most confident.

Which is exactly why episodes 13 and 14 become so frustrating.

After the emotional high of episodes 11 and 12, the conflict arrives almost immediately and is resolved just as quickly. Instead of letting the fallout breathe, the series rushes toward its happy ending. I never really had time to sit with the characters' emotions before the next scene was already asking me to move on.

That, ultimately, is the biggest weakness of the show. Fifteen-minute episodes simply aren't enough. Two episodes per week soften the blow, but they don't solve the problem. The series isn't missing ideas—it is missing time. Twenty-minute episodes alone would've given these relationships enough space to develop naturally instead of feeling compressed into plot points.

The second couple, Khun and Lee Jae Min, deserved even more.

Lee Jae Min's past—being framed as a stalker and losing his chance to debut—is actually a fascinating starting point. Combined with Khun's own traumatic experiences with obsessive fans, the series had everything it needed to create a genuinely layered conflict. Imagine Khun slowly discovering that the man he's falling for carries exactly the kind of reputation that should make him run, only to realise the industry manipulated the narrative all along. Instead, the show barely scratches the surface before moving on.

I also really liked the multilingual aspect of their relationship, but I wish the series had leaned into it more. Rather than Khun carrying most of the communication, it would've been lovely to watch both of them gradually learn each other's language. That kind of quiet effort says a lot about intimacy without needing grand romantic gestures.

In the end, Love Class 3 has the foundation of a genuinely good story. The K-pop setting feels fresh, the central romance has real emotional depth, and the second couple offers plenty of charm.

It just never quite gives itself enough time to become the series it so clearly wants to be.

What I Liked
- visuals/styling
- good intimacy
- cute moments
- enjoyed the second couple (guy from Thailand) though there were some annoying hot and cold moments
- that the fan in episode 15 did not demand a picture or signature, she expressed her appreciation and then left them alone

Room For Improvement
- comedy sound effects
- a bit confused with what were flashbacks vs present in the first few episodes
- cliche jumped to conclusions and refused to communicate (multiple times with both couples)
- noble idiot trope, ghosting and 1 year time jump

faltou desenvolvimento, tem pontas soltas, trouxeram problemas pro final e foi tudo rápido demais e isso me deixou meio ble.


gosto dos casais porém senti que deveria ter uma certa ligação entre ambos os casais, visto que 2 deles são amigos, acho que deveria ter um conflito onde os 4 tinham que estar juntos e resolver.


a história poderia ter ido por um lado super legal pq a ideia era legal, mas não teve tanta emoção, ficou bem sem sal

Pemaparan Realita Kerja jadi Idol

Waktu pengumuman Love Class bakal punya season 3, aku excited banget. Demi apapun. Aku menaruh ekspektasi yang tinggi. Karena sebelumnya di season 1 dan 2, aku sukaaa banget. Apalagi yang season 2 tuh, uuuulala chef kiss. Hari demi hari terlewati, akhirnya episode 1 season 3 tayang, awal-awal sih premise nya kayak bagus gitu yaa tapi... hm..

Premise atau bait?: berkaca dari Zhang hao & Hanbin (firasat kuat)

Kelen liat sendiri lah, Hyunjae kayak ada mirip2 nya gitu sama Zhang Hao, dan Sooan first impression ku kayak soft boy dengan hati hello kitty yang penuturan kata-nya lembut, mirip siapa? mirip Hanbin. Bjir ini dramatisasi dari BoysPlanet 1 kah? wkwkkw. Dan di episode 1-2 kita bisa lihat kalau Hyunjae & Sooan dulunya (era survival show) itu dekeett banget, udah kayak sahabat sehidup se-mani eh salah maksudku sampai mati. Affection yang mereka tampilkan udah kayak orang pacaran, basically. Yaa mirip lah sama kedekatan Zhang Hao & Hanbin di BoysPlanet, pelukan sambil nangis sambil bisik-bisik ke telinga mengutarakan kalimat positif dan menyemangati satu sama lain eh tapi angle kamera fancam penonton keliatannya mereka kayak lagi cium leher, beuhh imut banget bjir lah (seumur hidup aku berkawan ngga ada nya kawan ku kek begitu pun// aku iri).

Second couple syndrome; Jaemin & Khun

Dari awal mereka muncul dilayar sampai akhir episode, ga pernah gagal buat mencuri perhatian penonton. Kayaknya, eh bukan kayaknya deng, emang beneran second couple syndrome. Ini pertama kalinya diantara semua varian Love Class aku lebih suka second couple daripada main couple, salah satu alasannya mungkin karena ya.. simply coz they have a better written story. Pacing/tempo dari kisah mereka tuh, selow, kayak- kalo orang jawa bilangnya, alon alon asal kelakon. Mereka awalnya ketemu karena kecerobohan-nya Jaemin, kemudian lama kelamaan mulai dekat. Tapi, karena Khun masih trauma akan potensi sasaeng, dia mulai menjaga cara dia bersikap ke Jaemin. Akhirnya mereka kembali membangun build trust dan mulai "masuk" tuh cielah kiw kiww. Happy till the end ga kayak couple sebelah...

Plot yang "dijanjikan", ngga terlalu ditampilkan secara eksplisit.

Secara garis besar, Love Class season 3 sejatinya masih satu kesatuan serial berkelanjutan tentang Kelas Pernikahan dan Keluarga. Tapi, menurutku di season 3 ini kurang di-representasikan, karena kisah hidup "Idol" itu sendiri sebenarnya sangat rumit, tidak cukup hanya ditampilkan dengan 16 episode dengan durasi hanya 15 menit.
Nih ya, yang hadir di kelas topik Pernikahan dan Keluarga itu hanya Jaemin dan Khun. Soo An sih diawal-awal diceritakan bahwa dia juga mahasiswa (although ga tau apakah satu kampus sama Jaemin atau Khun). Kalau kita bandingkan sama Season 1 dan 2, fundamental atau pondasi utama dari tema Pernikahan dan Keluarga, itu sangat berhubungan dengan pasangan/pairing utama, atau kalau di kasusnya season 1 ya simply cuman ada 1 couple. Nah karena mereka sedari awal di-desain untuk menjadi couple utama, maka cukup masuk akal kalau aspek-aspek yang memengaruhi atau dibahas dalam kelas Pernikahan dan Keluarga, ya berkutat dikehidupan mereka sendiri, bukan di side couple punya. Nah beda cerita sama diseason 3, justru malah Jaemin dan Khun yang jadi peserta kelas tersebut. Bukan berarti mereka nggak berhak ya, tapi kan balik lagi judulnya itu Love Class bukan Love Idol Scandal, kalau mau angkat kisah kehidupan idol, setidaknya penulisan script dan alurnya bisa dilakukan dengan lebih mendingan, bukan kayak gini..
Caranya? buat episode nya jadi berdurasi 45 menit lah paling ngga, dan mantapkan dulu background story dari masing-maisng pairing sebelum lanjut ke development dari love story nya. Paling nggak itu dulu deh. Soalnya rata rata reaksi ku pas nontonin setiap episode tuh aku kayak "hah? apa ? kok gitu?. Contohnya deh, pas Sooan sama Hyunjae tiba-tiba jadi deket lagi tanpa dijelaskan gimana bisa misunderstanding yang dibebani alias yang dipikirin sama Sooan, kok bisa tiba tiba hilang gitu aja?. Berharap penonton pake mata batin buat mahamin mereka?.

9/10 I enjoy this series
I am not type of watcher who wants all people to be suddenly gays in the BL series. So, this series is my type. It is not too gay. Side characters are not designed to be gays so suddenly. All characters are put where they belong in terms of the story's setting.
The deliverable of the characters, to me, is believable, and fun to watch. Kim Tae Hwan (Ji Wo) and Han Hyun Jun (RoA seem to be enjoying their role and I would like to give them more opportunities by seeing how they will develop their interactions, if any, in season 2.
Ji Wo is definitely behind RoA on understanding his sexuality and feeling. And I feel like, it is a normal experience for a person who does not live in a society where LGBT is broadly accepted. RoA and Ji Wo can be a perfect match to see what is next steps in that type of relationship. And I want to know more about Ji Wo.
