Ba Dao Shao Ye Ai Shang Wo (2023) is a supposed romance drama that, even though the leads have good chemistry, the plot is difficult to swallow. On this drama, both families were toxic and the leads have suffered trauma that left them with PTSD and distrust. Both male and female leads had their own hidden agendas and, even when they worked well together, his lack of trust issues, made it difficult for both leads to reassure each other. The romantic scenes were all covered by body positioning and cloudiness and, even after falling for the leading lady, the male lead was always threatening her. At the end of the day, justice is served and the drama gave the leading couple a good ending but, the last minute of the drama, Qi Yue, the male lead’s brother, instead of facing court, dies of a self inflicted wound.Was this review helpful to you?
