Both are GL series from Thailand based on GL novels. They are both made by the same company: GMMTV. They are both very cute and sweet, Us has more drama than Whale Store xoxo, but Us has a lot less drama then expected based on the novel. Both are Thai GL series with romance, comedy and drama. They both have a main character with an ex girlfriend. They are both series where you see the main characters work together.

Both stories follow a small business owner who is somewhat jaded and disillusioned from a recent personal loss. They fall in love with a younger person who brings some hope and joy into their life, but that person is somehow secretly responsible for them potentially going out of business.

Of course HCCC is not a GL but the stories set ups are very similar and generally the vibes too. In both shows there's a woman who lives and works in the city (Wan and Hye Jin) but for different reasons they both have to go and settle in the countryside and work there in a very different way than they're used to. When they go there they meet a person who is very loved by the community and does all the jobs they can do (Maewnam and Doo Shik). Also in both cases the main ships have met since they were younger but one or both of them have forgotten/didn't realize. There's also the general vibe of a community outside of the city with aunties/uncles that always end up getting entangled with the mains who also have their own problems and eventually fall in love.

Whale store xoxo is a great drama with promotion. I loved those charectars and those actress. They're very pretty and gorgeous. . I love her so much. And beside It's cute and funny so love it.

Compared to 23.5 where MilkLove's dynamic was completely different from how they are in Bad Buddy, in Whale Store xoxo they are back to a similar dynamic to the one they had in Bad Buddy with Milk being the "cool girl." So fans of how they were in Bad Buddy will enjoy this one.
