FL is terribly dumb

The plot is familiar: the FL seeks revenge on a chaebol family that wronged her, navigating their nepotism and power plays to rise to the top. While the premise is engaging, the execution falls flat because the FL consistently makes avoidable mistakes, coming across as unintelligent. In today’s landscape, viewers expect FLs to be smart, strong, and resourceful—not overly reliant on others or unable to stand on their own. Even after her “glow-up,” she repeats the same errors, undermining the idea that her earlier struggles were due to her economic status. This lack of growth makes the show frustrating to watch. The acting is excellent, but the writing leaves much to be desired. Additionally, the youngest chaebol family member looks like a 20-something but behaves like a 5 year old and treated as such too, which creates a jarring disconnect.

Great story pace was flowing till the end

My review is for the producers/directors what in the world? The ending was like a scarecrow stuff with whatever and hung with a limb in every direction!!!!!
My goodness did the writers quit????
Why couldn’t the couple that finally conquered kiss when The man proposes???? What is this the 50’s they can only kiss once I The while drama.
People want to see the sparks between them finally be freely given oxygen rather than you spend all that time on the evil woman dialogue after clearly losing touch with reality.
YOU have completely lost touch with why people even watched this Drama…you must have run out of budget and time. But this last episode with a small wedding and cheap/free tweaks could have been so SO much better. I have rarely if ever been this let down by an ending of ever. (I am a US native born female college grad professional: was in hospitality and daytime talk tv& teaching etc.
I was so shocked how even my husband was excited to see this each time and so we both would tune in only for it to be so stale and disjointed like that?
Call me and I redo the ending & give people something to dream about. You forget why people watched… the daughter losing her mind should have been a 5 second clip of her in the chair OR with Lucia on the bench not BOTH and her running around, and NO wedding or honey moon shot of them in the mountains relaxing!!!!!!
I’ll stop here by my goodness. It would have been better to leave unfinished @ do a presser saying the writers were kidnapped ( almost serious) the world is looking to Korean dramas for their outlet & inspiration. You are more than telling a story: you’re allowing the woman to feel like the heroin and the man to be the hero….. that last scene of them together is how my brother would greet me

A daily that started as decent and then stagnated

Lucia, the FL, behaved in ways that led to death of her daughter, then she takes revenge against others, without any self reflection.
Then she enjoys revenge and goes on a power trip and does many manipulative nasty things
but she is so dumb and so unfit for revenging that she keeps making serious mistakes, yet she always gets out unscratched by sheer luck

There is some good acting in here, some veterans like the CEO, some good villains like the Lawyer, some new actors coming up, like Mr Moon,

but overall, this is not the best drama out there but not the worst either - simply bc the script does not have the most tight and interesting story. If the script were more interesting, this crew would definitely make a better drama.

Character of Lucia is not quite .... intelligent, let us put it that way LOL which is ok. But the problem is that THERE IS NO CHARACTER GROWTH. THat is why I think this is a mediocre drama overall.

So perhaps this is my personal bias, perhaps someone dumb would enjoy watching Lucia and never be annoyed that she is the same person and as dumb in ep 82 as in ep 1.

The music at the start was terrible, so loud and hyperactive, but seems like around ep 70ish they changed the music to fit better with the scenes, which helped a lot

This drama is like a psychological thriller, the characters keeps scheming to outdo each other

To make the drama really interesting and quality, there has to be some inner struggle, character growth, change and improvement in people.
We never saw Lucia self reflect... We never saw Stella or anyone else self reflect.... Mr Moon did some but not enough..... Written later - Stella did self correct SOMEWHAT but we never saw her self reflect..

Lucia got a glo over and is a little more composed but she has not changed much, really. She is a little bit more confident.. but she has also become an evil person, lying and manipulating others under the pretense of "love." What she is doing to SeRi, pretending to love her while cursing her in the back. is pure evil. Lucia's inability to self reflect is a severe fault.

Later Lucia accepted Se Ri just bc she was a bio daughter LOL
Lucia is a mother for sure... but ... a really dumb one.

The whole drama was like a cartoon - the good guys kept winning by sheer luck, getting unscratched doing some reaaaaaly stupid stuff.

Interesting psychological thriller

Do not underestimate daily dramas :) The plot moves fast... and you can watch 30 mins or binge watch more easily... and the acting and plot are decent. Also, I see how new actors "graduate" into acting better.

This turned out to be a really interesting revenge and corporate politics and psychopatic chaebols drama.... The first 17 episodes are torture bc the FL and her daughter are total losers and it is painful to watch them fail and fail and fail and fail bc they are simply dumb. There is so many hysterical dumb women screaming, and the music is hysterical and over the top so it is really hard to watch.

THEN in just 1-2 episodes, our FL gets the message, gets her wits together, and grows up in an instant, and then prepares and comes back to fight properly.

So it is very educational to see WHAT EXACTLY made her change her mind and finally SEE what she was dealing with.

And it is very educational to see what kinds of mistakes people make in revenges, how they are discovered, etc. IT IS A GREAT PSYCHOLOGICAL DRAMA.

Also the music calms down so it is ok, the "church music" for the drama is really effective.

The Moon director actor is someone to watch, he SHOULD BE a new a rising star.
