honestly, i think it was on purpose just for the plot. i feel super bad for him, i don't think they wanted everyone to match well. they probably did it for a dramatic reveal, exactly what happened

Someone posted in the Comments an interview with the producers. The producers said that they cast Chang Hwan first, and were inspired to make the show about marriage due to him.  To me, that just makes the casting choices of the female contestants even worse. You know you have a 40 year-old man and then deliberately cast all the females under 30?  They really couldn't find at least one lady in her early to mid 30s? It's like they deliberately set him up to fail. I feel terrible for him, and so sorry if he came on the show truly hoping to find a wife.  

I love the cast - attraction is unpredictable - and put in this hybrid environment - half normal(work) half enclised (living in the house with 9 other people) must be very challenging! They are not celebrities,  performing artists so they have very little training as to how to manage their emotions in front of the cameras so I can feel the pull back. So despite this, they are doing brilliantly! (So far none of the ones I wanted to connect, connected! 😂  )
