Chinese Restaurant 9 truly felt like a warm family this season, and each member shined in their own way 💫
Huang Xiaoming led the team with calm strength, always carrying the weight of responsibility yet never forgetting to care for everyone like a true leader. Jiang Yan was the gentle “mom” of the group her cooking filled the restaurant with comfort, and her kindness wrapped around everyone like home.
Ding Yuxi “Bridge King,” wasn’t just a sous chef , he was like the caring big brother of the group. He looked after everyone, always stepping in to help no matter the task, and his support made the whole team feel stronger. And then there was Shen Yue 💖 the bright soul of CR9. She wasn’t just the finance manager or photographer, she was the sunshine of the group. With her warmth, sincerity, and quiet determination, she made every moment feel genuine and full of life.
Zhai Xiaowen::" brought youthful charm and endless creativity (his zucchini creation will never be forgotten!), while Patrick Yin amazed with his multilingual talents, always connecting with guests and making them feel welcome. And finally, Lin Shuwei, the wise teacher-chef, guided the kitchen with patience and experience, ensuring every dish carried both flavor and heart.

And I really loved the cutest banter between Shen Yue and Zhai Xiaowen their bond was the best part of this season, always bringing smiles and laughter💛
Together, they weren’t just a team they became a family. Their laughter, teamwork, and care for one another made this season unforgettable. I’ll truly miss their interactions, but I’ll always treasure the warmth they shared. Wishing every member of the CR9 family endless success and happiness in their journeys ahead 🍴🥢🍲🍜☺️

Flavorful Cooking brewed from the power of Friendship and Hard Work!

First of all, I came here for Ding Yuxi, Zhai Xiaowen and Shen Yue after seeing them in Love in Pavilion, where they don’t have many interactions. This, for a variety show, was really cute and wholesome, and every moment was enjoyable!

Each cast member worked super hard and made their potential shine like stars, with each person with a separate job and talent that they’re great at. Everyone contributes to holding up Chinese Restaurant, and I absolutely loved everyone.

1. Huang Xiaoming — Leader and Manager
2. Jiang Yan— Mommy-figure and chef
3. Ding Yuxi — ‘Bridge King’ (桥王) and Sous Chef
4. Shen Yue — Amazing Photographer and Finance Manager
5. Zhai Xiaowen — Waiter and Lover of his Zucchini Creation
6. Patrick Yin Haoyu — Waiter and Multi-Linguistic Expert
7. Lin Shuwei — Great Chef and Teacher

Even though all of them knew that all of them together were not enough, yet I love the fact that they still carried the show together and never gave up. Apart from that, the show had its own great sense of humor and comedy, and highhlyyy recommendable!!

Extremely Heartwarming

The Chinese Restaurant Season 9 is undoubtedly the loveliest season of the show. I can't emphasize more amazing the cast is and how family-like everyone is. Their laughs, combined efforts, and never ending praises to one another just filled the show with love and warmth. As much as the show itself is already great, the cast truly played the most crucial part of making this season special.

Everyone is just so lovable.

[Ding Yuxi]
I first knew him from this show and I must say that he's one of the best and most genuine people out there. This man is so caring, attentive and extremely hard working. From his well thought props, his little gifts, up to his next level perseverance. Special mention to his endless collection of sweet phrases that influenced everyone else to spread assurance and love to one another the entire show. It's impossible to not admire him after seeing all the efforts he exerted. I'm looking forward to seeing him again next season.

[Shen Yue]
Yueyue also played her secretarial role amazingly the entire show, I loved her development as the episodes went through, making her more open and expressive each day. She's just so sweet and cheerful. I really loved her and Xiaowen's never ending laughter whenever they're together. I can picture her and Ding appearing again next season due to the popular demand~

[Zhai Xiaowen]
Funny and Handsome. I swear, he never failed to bring out laughs every episode. I loved seeing how much he just enjoyed throughout the show. He worked hard and his cocky-humorous personality really had the entire cast bickering with him. He's just so cute and his appearance made things go light weight.
Really admired how bubbly he is! Like he's got never ending energy.

[Yin Haoyu]
Pat-pat, the show's baby brother truly showed his charm amazingly! Seriously, he's such a talented kid, you'll sometimes forget he's the foreigner among the cast. He's always so focused and dedicated to whatever task he's assigned. I loved all the little moment of the cast babying their lil brother.

[Jiang Yan]
She's sweet, she's reliable, she's awesome! Yan is what I'll consider everyone's big sister. Throughout the show, she's always taking care of everyone. From feeding the cast members with snacks to offering the uttermost guidance as she wipes off their sweat. Truly the prettiest chef and best big sister. Even I, look up to her so so much.

[Chef Lin & Huang Xiaming]
The best masters! I love how well they coordinated and how they blended so youthfully with the new cast. I can tell that even for them, this season's the most family like. Generation gaps is no such thing with them given how well the younger cast coaxed them to softness lol. I can also tell that just like me, they'll miss this season's cast a little more~

Again, as much as this review seemed more like an in depth rating of each cast (guilty). I hope it motivated whoever reads this to give the season a go. It's truly underrated and I can promise you—you'll fall in love!

This is an amazing team effort. Everyone is working hard to make their Chinese Restaurant a success. when Chef Lin said it's an impossible mission.he had a gleam in his eye. He knows this crew is up to the challenge and so does the viewer. I think they're a perfect blend of motivation and talent. They get along like a family who have one nother's back. Ding Yuxi has not only stepped up to the plate he's hitting home runs with his work ethic and sparkling personality. Jiang Yan is like the skilled and nurturing elder sister feeding and caring for the group. Shen Yue is talented with designing the menu and managing their finances. Everyone is just doing their best and i look forward to the future episodes.
