The Flowers of war also telling a story about Nanjing Massacre. It's similar in story, about people of Nanjing hiding from the Imperial Japanese Army, trying to survive my keeping things as evidence. Both are also from a real story of the survivors
Both these films tell stories about Japanese atrocities committed during WWII. While Dead to Rights is a typical war film, Spirits' Homecoming takes a more creative modern/historical approach to its narrative.
