Norio Kano, a struggling short story writer in Tokyo, feels stuck in life when he receives the sudden news of his father's death. He returns to his family's café in Nagoya, "Jun Kissa Tsunagari", and takes over as temporary manager. However, despite the feelings of part-time employee Akina and regular customer Komiyama, Norio decides to close the café.
