Lovestruck? The only thing struck was my patience.
“Lovestruck at Once” had potential but failed on all fronts:• Poorly written plot full of shortcuts and clichés
• Twisted values of filial piety and love
• Weak, reactive heroine whose emotions serve the plot, not her character
• Shallow emotional arcs that rely on manipulation rather than authentic development.
The female lead comes off as an opportunist trying to act innocent — a mix of gold-digger and two-timer pretending to be a “cute money-grubber gone astray.” She’s a pushover for most of the show, then suddenly turns fierce at the wrong moments, making her character feel inconsistent and hard to root for.
