Qin Lang is the president of an entertainment company. One day he enters the hotel room of the female president of Bright Entertainment, Meng Cheng Cheng, who is known for being domineering and cold, and sees her latest victim quickly leave the room - clearly in pain. But when Qin Lang approaches her, she surprisingly suggests that they get married - or rather pretend to be engaged at a shareholder’s meeting in her family Group the next day. She gives him some money and tells him to keep their deal a secret. The next day, pictures of them are leaked to the press, causing Meng Cheng Cheng to potentially lose her inheritance rights to her sister and brother. But she gets herself out of the problem by presenting Qin Lang as her fiancé, clearing up the “scandal.” Afterwards they make a deal for Meng Cheng Cheng to groom Qin Lang into a top star in the entertainment industry within a year in return for him continuing to play her fiancé. Little does she know that he has long been wanting to get close to her due to a childhood encounter - and that he uses this to create a way into her family, in order to exert his plans for revenge. Nice “Revenge-plot”-story mixed with a “Power Struggle”-story
This is a nice “Revenge-plot”-story mixed with a “Power Struggle”-story with decent actors and a storyline that is rather basic, and not bringing anything new.The mix and the ending made it ok to watch but it was too slow. Actually I checked a couple of times to make sure it wasn’t on reduced speed, which I sometimes do if the subs are too fast. Since these were mediocre in the video I watched, it wouldn’t have mattered much.
Well, it’s a nice watch.
