Don’t bother
This one is not worth the watch.I’ve seen plenty of stories with the trope of the FL or ML or both being drugged where consent is dubious at best, but I don’t think it’s dubious here. It’s very much disregarded. Instead we have an older ML who is a doctor take advantage of the FL as if she was gift wrapped and handed to him on a platter. She is running away from the person who drugged her when she gets in his car and all this man bothers to ask after confirming she was drugged is if she is clean. I should have stopped watching right here. I feel like I need to reiterate that he is a doctor. He could have, I don’t know, treated the FL like she was an actual patient who needed help rather than as a convenient sex toy.
The other thing that is truly bizarre and also a major spoiler, if you still somehow want to watch this, is below:
It turns out that the FL and SFL were switched at birth with the SFL growing up rich and the FL growing up poor and abused. The SFL’s bio mom worked for the FL’s bio mom and swapped the babies so her daughter could live a better life. When the FL’s bio parents find out about this they immediately cut the SFL out of their lives even though not even one minute previously they were doting on her. The SFL did deserve karmic retribution, but I don’t see how this is it. Also, if I’m the FL, I would literally never trust my parents affections for me knowing how easily they were able to sever ties with the daughter they had raised for 20 years. And not only did they sever ties, they knowingly sent her into the lions den where she was abused and pimped out by her brother. The SFL deserved jail time, but not this.
Anyway, if you made it to the end of this review and are still considering watching this please don’t. There are better versions of this trope out there. Many of them with this same actress actually. Go watch those instead.
