"He saw many Roses, but she was The Only One for him".
Honestly, this is one of the better written vertical dramas, a bittersweet romance drama set in high-school between the heroine Jiang Qiao who wants to live her short life in fullest and transfers to a new school and meets the cold and flamboyant badboy Xu Si portrayed by the very beautiful and oh so talented actor Ke Chun. These two embark in a wonderful friendship where both challenge , support and protect each other in their last years in high-school, even so it was only natural for the romance to blossom between one another since their chemistry and attraction was so instant and chemical.I am gonna say Xu Si & Jiang Qiao are soulmates in this story. They made me smile so much!!! They made me cry so much!!I am so glad Ke Chun got another role where his acting came in roll with his incredible talent and the raw feelings he is able to convey. He is literally soooo iconic in "Save Myself" and i love the role of the lonely and tortured soul that is Xi Su, it just broke my heart with how unworthy he felt of Jiang Qiao but that he still could not resist her light. Both are such beautiful people who deeply loved each other...so beautiful_))

Beautiful and heart wrenching, pure love.
The shooting quality of this drama is excellent. I liked how the main characters always had a sun-kissed, soft natural glow for most of the screen-time.Characters -
Hou Chengyue's character is perseverant, tender, helpless and reluctant. Ke Chun also expresses the ruffianism and affectionate determination of the male protagonist very well. The emotions were portrayed perfectly. I cried buckets. I wish they hugged each other more often.
They both are well suited (appearance wise) to play the high school teen character.
Ending -
FL have stomach cancer. There are two endings, a sad and a happy one. It's your choice which one you choose to believe. Ofcourse the sad one is realistic. The happy one is a fairytale ending.
Alternatively, on sport day, FL said she have congenital heart disease. So you can assume that to be true and thus she came back to ML after leap in the end.

A youthful drama that highlights the two love birds on school eras
"‘I am a dying person, how can I promise him anything?’ This line really hits hard. At first, I thought this drama was just average. To be honest, the beginning was a bit boring, maybe because I’m not a fan of this genre. But the more you watch, the more you realize how detailed and carefully crafted it is.‘They met in midsummer, and parted in midsummer. His little rose will forever remain in that summer.’ It was the same midsummer, yet not the same because from that summer on, all the summers no longer have you.
This drama truly broke me and made me cry my heart out. After watching it, I strongly recommend you check it out. The background music is amazing, the editing and everything else are also great. It’s just that the ending is a bit heartbreaking.

Solid cast, recycled blueprint, emotional spark MIA
When this drama started, it reminded me of “A Walk to Remember.”Both FL’s from the movie and this drama were studious and strait-laced, while both Males are trouble-makers, and because of the numerous similarities between this drama and the movie, I was not expecting this drama to veer off the script. While the movie tugged at my heartstrings, this one did not. It was a lackluster attempt to replicate the story, even though perhaps this is not the drama’s intent. As a standalone, it’s passable, though no fault of the actors. They were great in their performances, if perhaps given a better vehicle.

beautiful
i love the king of shorts and kissing Ke Chun. so I searched on YouTube and found this one to watch. I didn’t expect to find a little gem. he is brilliant! so talented! his eyes are conveying all his emotions and they are deep! i laughed! I cried! as she passed and he stood at her grave going back on memory lane, my heart broke for them. i was hoping until the end that they would find a cure for her and they would get their happily ever after! I was shattered for him as he couldn’t even say goodbye! i’m pretty certain that at the end as he saw her, he had passed on to reunite with her. died of a broken heart. this drama was beautifully made. the acting was great by both leads. the music …oh well. the subtitles were a mess. i will watch it againWas this review helpful to you?
