Zhe Zhi Zeng Nan Zhi (2025)

Might be the odd one out, but I just really like this one.

This, and "My One and Only" are the two picks I regularly rewatch. IMO, no contest, the best of the adaptations. None of the casting was found wanting. Incredible performance by Yin Yibo ~ exceptional character nuance and detail. He really does about as much as possible with this character. Story is complete and flows so smoothly there's almost a dreamlike quality. Oh... The music gets a 10 for not being annoying.

A lot of subtle reveals amongst the obvious events. It's made clear that, with the marriage cancelled, Shen Nan Zhi's place in the family and social status is considered null. Jiang Jin Nian, the elder brother, is totally protective of that not happening. However, it's shown that he's always been aware of, and caring for Nanzhi; just respectful of roles and boundaries. Although claiming no foundation of feelings, he virtually leaps at the opportunity to marry her. He's returned from abroad, relocated the company headquarters, and embraces the marriage without giving any quarter.

Apesar de ter atores que eu adoro muito, essa adaptação - apesar de ser a segunda melhor versão deste web novel - não chega nem aos pés da química e naturalidade do casal em "Kisses of Sweet Passion", lá parece tudo se encaixar perfeitamente, já aqui parece que a atriz e o ator não estavam tão confortáveis nas cenas de mais intimidade.

Percebi que minha lembrança em relação a este drama era falha quando escrevi a resenha da adaptação citada a cima, então reassisti ao constatar também que não havia resenha para tal e minha nota originalmente era 4.

O 2ML aqui parece muito birrento, apesar de seguir o mesmo roteiro das demais, já a FL travada e o ML um pouco mais intenso, porém frio. Mas os pais da família Jiang também são bons aqui.
